Four stars simply for the price. Unbelievable you can get a 60 minute message for less than ¥3,000. Occasionally you can walk in and without an appointment if they are not too busy and well staffed. Most if the time I call ahead or after walking in, told to wait an hour. I’ve never seen the place fully staffed, as in all the beds being used. I think there are about ten beds, but usually only four or five staff. Pay before you start, they will provide you with a shirt and shorts to skip into. All the beds are surrounded by individual curtains they pull closed for you to change. They’ll give you a box to store your clothes, hangers and a glasses case. They’ll ask you where you feel tension and then start with you face down. They pull the curtains open once they start. I wondered why at first, but then thought it’s more professional and this way nothing unprofessional will go on. For the last ten minutes you flip over so you’re facing up, and then finally they’ll sit you up and get the blood flowing with a few minutes back message. I don’t believe anyone speaks English, but there’s really no chance for prolonged conversation. And like most Japanese shops, they have a point card.
