I have to note. This rating 4 stars is personal. Not that I know the owner in person, I somehow like this place for weirdness. How could it not be irresistible when you see the curry shop whose sign«We will never serve you water.» «I’ll stand up for this challenge!» Is the immediate thoughts I had once I saw this. Then I went. Not tables, just brace shaped counter. As pretty much what I guessed, I was the only customer. There was a lady working alone. It was awkwardly silent and I tried to start the conversation but it ends immediately after her one line answer. I guess she was not willing. Then there was curry. It was so soupy. Soupier than most of Indian curry out there. But accosting to their brochure, this is painstakingly made after 5+ hours of sautéing and simmering. I kinda found the taste rather bland. But it tasted ok. Rice was brown rice so it was a bit chunkier than white rice which made it little more satisfying than white rice. While I was eating, she was just standing there in silent, her eye line was pointing down, making effort not to make eye contact with me. After curry, macha ice cream was served. I think it took only 10min from the time I went in to went out. But because of this awkwardness, it rather felt eternal. To be honest, I don’t remember how it tasted. But it wasn’t awful. And to reconfirm what it really taste like, I want to go again. Next time, I’ll bring someone with me so that it won’t be awkward. If you want to volunteer, let me know.
