This place was AWESOME! If i could give it six stars i would. It is a bit of a search to find it because it is hidden in the back alleys near tamachi station but the store is SOOOOO trendy! It has two floors with a cozy open kitchen with counter seats and table tops downstairs. The place is decorated very vintage and they even have two large mirrors downstairs so you can check your face for food! The wait on a saturday afternoon was about 10 – 15 minutes but it was well worth the wait. We were seated and served quickly and the burgers were juuuuuuicy! They have a large selection and other american type foods as well. Great joint. Cheers! — We loved it soooo much we got it delivered to our house!

All I can say is dang, the burger here is the bomb! I’ve heard about Munch’s Burger Shack for a while since I live in this neighborhood but it’s actually on the other side of the station for me. I will say that this place has only one downside, and that’s the location. You won’t really go to this area unless you’re going to Munch’s, but I Will say that it’s totally totally totally worth the trip. This might be the best burger I’ve had in Tokyo so far! My wife and I went here on Saturday for lunch, walked about 10minutes from Tamachi station Mita exit. We showed up around 1:30PM to 2PM, but there was still a line going down the stairs. It was quite the walk from our house, so we decided that we might as well wait. The wait wasn’t as long as we thought it would be, maybe around 10 minutes? As we were led into the store, they guided us down to the first floor, which had a lot of space as well. They can probably fit around 50 people in total I ordered the smoked bacon cheeseburger, and my wife ordered the avocado cheeseburger and honey nut shake. And man the bacon cheeseburger was a win! You can taste the smokiness of the bacon, the patty was peppered well and was very juicy, and the buns were toasted perfectly. It also came with a small set of their home made fries. It was very crispy but might be a bit salty depending on your preference. I would recommend going to this place during weekdays lunchtime, because the drinks are a lot cheaper with the available lunch set. But be careful since they only except cash during lunch. They also have a very good delivery service, that you can order for free in Minatoku if you order over ¥2000. Delivery is available to other districts, but you need to order over ¥8000. They also have free Wi-Fi!

FLAVORFULMEAT! MELTYCHEESE! FRESHTASTINGBUN! Seriously, this place gave me one of the best burgers I have ever eaten. The meat was seasoned so well, plus it tasted very fresh. The BF and I ordered our patties medium rare, which is what I recommend because I feel like medium would be an injustice to the cut of meat. I ordered the Quattro cheese burger and that thing was cheesy. Like, seriously cheesy. I paired it with an egg, giving the cheese an extra oomph. The vegetables were fresh as well! Lots of lettuce, though. The onions and pickles were finely cut, making more of a relish than anything. Delicious! The«fries» are just roasted potatoes, but they’re delicious too. I wish the burgers came with more of them, the amount was paltry. We also ordered a chocolate shake, which tasted like a melted chocolate bar. Super refreshing on a hot day, plus it didn’t give us stomachaches! The only downside to this restaurant was the distance from any station in the area, but the walk was worth it. Plus you get a free workout going home after you’re finished!(Gotta make it positive somehow). This American girl found her favorite burger place… in Japan. Can’t wait to go back, it’s totally worth the 2 ½ train ride from my town!

It was a pretty cool spot. Seeing the Foreigner reviews I would ask where are they from first to give insight as to where they are from. Context is everything and for a Californian this place was ok. The service as to be expected was great tried the roast beef salad and Bacon Egg Burger. Everything was great, however, if placed against a California spot it’s ok. I’d put it on part with Umami Burger. Not amazing but not bad either. I give it 4 stars. For the people not from California this place is great and I highly recommend it but in my heart I was craving a double double grilled onions no tomato from In n Out haha

First, let me start by telling you the only downside of this restaurant — its location, simply because you wouldn’t come around this area for any other reasons unless you happen to live nearby. Except for that, this place is great. They have many different types of burgers with various toppings, and besides burgers, they even have rib-eye steak burgers, sandwiches, roast beef, side dishes and desserts. You are a big meaty burger eater, I can guarantee you will be happy with the food. It’s pretty spacious so a group of 4 – 5 people can easily fit it comfortably and it’s two-stories, so you probably don’t even have to make a reservation beforehand. This is actually the flip side of the downside of this place being so remote from everywhere — It doesn’t get too crowded even though the food is great here. If you have a chance to come around, I highly recommend you come check out their burgers.

Sometimes while on the road we all crave a little comfort food. Munch’s Burger Shack filled that need — nicely. Like anything in Tokyo, the confines are tight, but the food and beer selection more than makes up for it. Had a bacon cheeseburger and a vanilla shake and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of both. They even cooked my burger correctly when I asked for it to be medium rare. High marks for this place, I really enjoyed my stop there.

Munch’s is one of the best burgers in Tokyo. I have been to many burger restaurants in Tokyo and this is still my favorite. I recommend bacon cheese! The meat and bacon are really tasty, flavorful and juicy! It’s pricy a little bit, but still worth the price. From the side menu, I would choose fried chicken and roast beef salad, but burgers are so big that it would be better to share these. The nearest stations are Tamachi(JR), Mita(Toei) and Shiba-koen(Toei). 20 minutes walk from the Tokyo Tower.

We ordered a teriyaki burger(which comes with fries), an extra order of fries, a chocolate shake and two drinks for two adults and a toddler. The fries and shake were for the kid(don’t judge). We sampled the shake and holy frigging cow! It was delicious. It tasted like a liquified chocolate bar. The kid polished it off within minutes. If it wasn’t for the steep price(780yen) we would have ordered two more for the husband and I. The fries(potato wedges really) were good too. Perfectly fried and perfectly seasoned. The sodas were 190ml Coke bottles, so small, but on par for what we’ve experienced in Tokyo. But, let’s get down to business: the burger. Let’s get this out of the way too: I LOVE burgers. Everywhere we go we sample several burger joints in search of the best. We’ve eaten some good ones, and some okay ones. But this! THIS! At first bite I was sad that the husband and I had decided to split the burger. The meat was tender and flavorful and pretty much the best burger meat I’ve ever had. The buns were homemade looking and tasty. Pretty much I traveled from the USA to Tokyo to have the best burger of my life. I’m not exaggerating(unless they put some euphoric drug in the burger that I haven’t come down from yet). Because I literally walked back to where we are staying from Munch’s and sat down to write this review. The world needs to know about this. I’m a convert. I’m going to proselytize, stand on a soap box on the corner, singing the praises of this place. Also, the service was fantastic. It wasn’t crowded(around 7pm on a Tuesday). The wait staff was so patient and kind with our toddler, and with us, who speak no Japanese. We are only here for another week, but guess what’s on the menu at least one more time before we leave. Yep: Munch’s.

I know this will sound bold, but this may be the best burger in Tokyo. The ground beef used in the burgers is a thicker cut, which lends just a bit more texture, and the sear is perfect. Toppings are superior too, as are the fries.
