On our first night here(which was really morning for us) we were STARVING. This was located near our hotel and we really wanted ramen. Nothing fancy or gourmet. This is a super cheap 24⁄7 ramen spot. The menu is not in English so I ended up ordering the vegetable salt ramen instead of the vegetable shoyu ramen — but it was good. But salt is not my favorite broth. My fiancé had the classic pork shoyu ramen. And we shared the shrimp gyoza. This was the only establishment that we could find gyoza’s that were not pork — so I was grateful. The gyoza’s were good and everything was so reasonable. Two ramens and one order of gyoza was less than $ 3US Dollars. Whaaaaa? Service was quick and good. We were in and out. Left with full bellies and ready to sleep!

For those of you who live in Yokosuka — this is the closest to «Red Door Ramen» you can get. It is cheap and open 24 hours a day. For 1600 yen my wife and I ate and were full, not satisfied with the taste. The tonkotsu ramen I ordered like the other six I saw them prepare before it had the broth poured out of a plastic bag and diluted with hot water. My rich pork taste I wanted was a Luke warm watered down Swanson’s pork broth that left the only salty goodness being my past ramen adventures. The frozen noodles boiled to a rubbery soft consistency made me wonder if I was chewing gum. The only thing worse was the malleable leather they passed off as pork. Add in the fact I couldn’t figure out if my toppings were spinach or a hard bamboo shoot — the noodles over all failed. The Gyoza tasted like those from your local grocery with an emphasis on bland. The only redeeming attribute was the well done rice under the meat of my Chyashudon. The meat was the same fickle failure at pork on the ramen on the rice. The key selling point here is being open 24 hours a day and cheap. If I was wasted at 4 am this place would have been«oh my god, amazing!» Having taste buds while sober will curse you here…

This place is cheap and friggin delicious. They have a weird sapporo pour machine. I sucked down every drop of my ramen. It was awesome.
