Tricky to find at first. Glorious once you’re in. This calm, quiet café is on the second floor of an apartment building. Walk up the open stairway and the door is on your right. Books line the windows along with cacti lit by warm light. The menu is simple. Coffee, café au lait, some fizzy drinks, beer, two sandwiches, NY style cheesecake and a few more sweets. I had the mustard chicken sandwich. Just lovely! Can I take Moon and Sixpence home please? Wrap her up!

A hidden café on the second floor of an old building. I came here after reading raving reviews by some of my favorite Unilocalers Aya I, Leo T, & Tomohide T. Finding this place is the first challenge. There is no big sign and it’s on the second floor of what looks like an apartment building. Unless you have read reviews by Unilocalers, you would be afraid to open the door which looks like it would lead to someone’s living room. Once inside, I quickly came to an agreement with Leo’s review where he says this is a perfect place to visit by yourself for some quality alone time. It’s as if the time stops once you enter this room. Very peaceful with quiet music. The entire place is counter seats only with no tables. There is also a small sign that reads«please refrain from using a laptop.» I hate rules. I love being free to do whatever I want to do. However, at this place, I agreed with the no PC rule. Opening up a laptop is so uncool at this place. Sit back, enjoy delicious coffee, and pick up a book in front of you. Then you are cool. Me? No I did not pick up a book. I just used my iPhone to read Unilocal reviews. That’s the most entertaining form of reading. How was the coffee and food? Awesome coffee. For some reason, I went here during lunch hours. The only substantial food they had was a sandwich and cheese toast. What do I do? Order a cheesecake! Doesn’t it have something like 700 cal? It was very soft and tasty. A perfect lunch for me.
