I love this architecture, made of brick and designated as a nationally important cultural property. It is just cool and postcard-​worthy!
In front of that, sometimes there are several tiny booth here providing local vegetables or cute hand-​made accessories.
Now they are having exhibition called «Let’s go to space, brother !» It is held until TUE.SEP.23,2014. Do you like Manga? This exhibition is about Japanese manga named Space brother. I’m a big fan of this manga so when I saw this poster, I was super excited! Somehow attractive exhibitions tend to be held in Osaka. However this exhibition is coming Kyoto! Sadly I have not been here yet. I will come soon I’m sure!

Due to its excellent accessibility, I often drop in at this building. The former building of Bank of Japan was renovated to the museum and has been designated national important cultural assets. It is located in a bustling area for the youth, Kawaramachi Sanjyo. This seven-​storied building houses shops (Japanese-​taste goods are sold) and restaurants on the first floor, gallery, film theater, exhibition from the second to six floor.
I also obtained some free tickets such as special exhibition (certainly European paintings) and Japanese Kimono events. In Kimono events if required, Kimono school teachers helped participants wear Kimono for free. In addition the participants could take part in the lecture meeting of the head master, Mr. Ryuho Sasaoka of the flower arrangement Mishoryu and the lecture of the manner teacher (she told us how to behave in an elegant manner when wearing kimono), an exhibition of Kimono, a light meal or photograph service. All of them were attractive and pleasant! I was much moved to have participated in such marvelous events without charges. These events were held to make Kimono prevalent in Kyoto. I hope many Japanese women will wear Kimono. When we are in Kimono, we can’t help behaving gracefully.
