Jishu Shrine

When I stopped here, I was high school student and fell in love with my classmate. Jinushi-​jinjya shrine, where we assume the god in the shrine is hearing and answering our romantic prayers. Eventually we became a couple. We aren’t not going out together anymore though.
The foremost enshrined deity is Okuninushi and it is popular among young women and couples that he is matchmaking deity. In fact many tourists from a long way seek out the shrine.
If you are falling with someone, just checked the detail on website and pray the same as I did before.

This shrine is annexed (?) or neighboring to Kiyomizu temple. I don’t know why a shrine is located in a temple. Many mysteries remain in Kyoto. Very tiny and cozy. I recommend couples should come here to hope for their eternal love, or single persons also should come here to pray for encountering an eligible partner and good marriage.
A friend of mine in college days came here with her boy friend on several times. She consulted an oracle whenever she paid a visit here. The result was always bad luck for consecutive three times. To the contrary of the result their relations were excellent. On the fourth time she finally got good luck! However, she was afraid of this great good luck because she got bad luck too much in the past. I’m sorry for her that it is a funny story.
Here is a stone of the love fortune-​telling. A pair of stones is placed away from each other approximately by 10m.
