Magokoro

I stumbled upon this place after a long day, and it just happened to be salsa night! Not that, but they had great food, cute stuff for sale, and the people there were so nice & welcoming! I won’t ever forget my evening at this place… It was raining like crazy and finding this place was like a saving cozy haven right on the water. Perfect way to end my Kamakura experience.

This restaurant is one of my favorite in the world!
The food is very delicious and unique. The majority of the dishes are prepared with hemp, which is pretty awesome. There are several great vegan, vegetarian, and seafood options. There’s something here for everyone.
The restaurant is on the second floor of a building overlooking the water. We actually found it by accident just walking around looking for somewhere to eat. They have an english menu as well, which was great for us.
We shared several dishes while we were there, including the Hemp Curry Plate (curry, brown rice, side salad, hemp pickles), Hemp Spring Rolls (baby sardine and seasonal vegetables), Magokoro Hemp Coleslaw Salad, and Hemp Fried Potato (we had the Harb Soy Cheese ones). We both ordered hot green tea, as well. I consider this one of the best meals I’ve ever had!
Aside from the restaurant, there is a small gift shop inside with some really cool hemp stuff. Little accessories, crafts, bags, etc. It was great!
