LIXIL Ginza is a cool place to check out if you are into art /design and around the Ginza area I came here for the LIXIL book gallery(book store), since it was mentioned they specialize in carrying art /design books and magazines. The book store was pretty small, but had some good selections. LIXIL also publishes their own books so I wanted to see what kind of artists /designers and subjects they were picking up on. If you go into the main building of LIXIL Ginza, the first floor has an interior show room, a huge wall of screen running some artsy videos, a table promoting their recent LIXIL publish books, and introductory brochures on their entire LIXIL branch of businesses. On the second floor, there are three galleries. There was a good range of historical /informative art to contemporary art when I visited. There’s also a wall of LIXIL’s recent publications and Japanese vintage magazines you can browse through. Chairs and tables are there so you can sit and relax as you read. For people that want to get comfortable, they even have a coffee machine by the sitting area! This is a great quiet space to kill time around Ginza whilst enjoying art & design.
