Oh, Visuvio! It’s a hidden gem in Vicenza. Their house pizza is my favorite, but you can’t go wrong with their bistecca and salad. If you are downtown and don’t want to get ripped off from piazza restaurants, head towards the Teatro Olimpico and off to a little side alley and you are there. It’s totally worth the little effort to find it.

Der Eingang wirkt sehr unscheinbar, aber da wir von Einheimischen den Tipp bekommen haben die Pizza dort unbedingt einmal auszuprobieren, haben wir den Versuch gewagt und es absolut nicht bereut. Auf der Karte stehen auch ungewöhnliche Kreationen wie zum Beispiel Apfel Gorgonzola, oder Kartoffel Pizza. Erstere haben wir tatsächlich bestellt und sie war einfach großartig! Der Boden war knuspirg dünn und die Kombi von Apfel(welcher frisch vor unseren Augen geschält wurde) und dem Käse ungewohnt gut. Preislich fing es bei 3,50 € für eine Margarita an und ging bis ca. 7 €. Die Pizzen waren so groß, dass man sie sich auch gut zu zweit teilen konnte.

I have to say that this is one of my favorite little pizza joints. the staff are always very helpful and friendly, ample room for sitting and the vast variety of pizza to choose from!

Decent/inexpensive Italian fare. Simple family-owned establishment with good beer choices(including Belgium), for little money. Their pizzas aren’t bad, are inexpensive, and their pasta dishes are flavorful and prepared fast. Seating is ample, with both inside and outside seating. I think the owner is going for an American diner feel since there’s pics of coca cola, Marilyn Monroe, and James Dean on the wall. Also, they play American rock music. Recommend giving this place a try. Owners aren’t very warm and friendly but they take their business serious and will serve you decent/simple Italian food quickly.
