Cozy place to get a caffé in the centro. Lot’s of specialty creations in addition to the usual espresso or machiatto. Seating can get tight quickly, so don’t expect your personal space to last more than a few minutes; not so bad in the summer, but in the winter with bulky jackets and such, it gets quite jammed. There is a toilet located in the back right of the bar… through the door, then another, then up the stairs where the sink greets you prior to your arriving at your destination through yet another door to find a squatty potty and a window looking into the back alley. At least you’re in Italy. Friendly baristas, but we don’t eke out a conversation more than just ordering and paying at the end. Cell phone reception(WIND) is sketch, so don’t expect to stay connected to the digital world, which is kind of nice in a way.

This little gem is just off the Vicenza city centro and is absolutely fabulous. From the moment you step inside you are greeted with warm Italian smiles and delicious smells throughout the café. I ordered a delicious Frappuccino. It’s not Starbucks and believe me you are thankful. This is a smooth deliciously sweet coffee drink. It had a hint of hazelnut and caramel. I was overwhelmed at how this drink could give me an entire experience that I would want to revisit over and over. I’m already planning to head back next week with a friend. They also have cookies and teas in tins for purchase if you are looking for just a bit more of the experience when you are headed out the door.
