Pah!

Typical tourist restaurant. Waiter acted like he was doing us a favor by waiting on us. That said food was pretty good and priced in line with all the nearby restaurants.

Do not waste your precious calories here. Also, this restaurant is not friendly to families with toddlers. Let me explain… We came here for dinner after a leisurely stroll on a Friday evening. It was 8pm and the outdoor seating was only about ½ full. It looked casual and claimed to be a pizzeria; other(tourists) were eating dinner. We were dining with a 1 year old and requested a highchair; this was no problem and they quickly accommodated at a table on the piazza. The experience started out well. However, for the rest of the dinner, the service was extremely slow and unfriendly; the pizza was not what you would expect in Italy(I believe we even likened it to frozen pizza, i.e., DiGiorno’s would be better than this); and on top of that, the manager came out at the end of our meal to chastise us for the mess our 1 year old had made. She insisted he use a glass plate rather than get her tablecloth messy. Having just mastered his pincer grip and in the midst of the«dropping stage» developmentally, he insists on feeding himself, one tomato sauce covered penne at a time. A dirty tablecloth seemed a better option than a broken plate in the piazza. The disdain by the manager was completely unexpected, especially as it came as we were ending our meal and our son was nearly finished with his dinner(so any mess on the tablecloth could not have been avoided at this point.) Had the service been more attentive and indicated their preferences we would have gladly been more careful with feeding our son. A below average tourist trap with the only saving grace of a stellar view onto the piazza. Might be OK for just a drink.

Came here for a drink after the opera because we couldn’t get a table next door. They closed at 1 am though, so it was a bit weird to be finishing my drink while the waiters were cleaning up all the tables around me. The next day we sat at a table in the back for a quick lunch before heading off to the airport. It was quite pleasant and nicely decorated in the back amongst the old buildings. We weren’t particularly hungry, so we tried to share 2 pizzas amongst 4 girls, but the waiter said we had to order one more dish. So we got a big salad to share. My simple pizza was crisp and delicious.
