Excelente! Fuimos por recomendación de un local a comer aquí. Pedimos tres platos de pastas y uno de carne y los cuatro estaban deliciosos. También pedimos varios postres muy ricos. La atención fue muy buena, los camareros muy amables y de buen humor.
Es una trattoria fuera del circuito más turístico por lo que es más tranquilo que muchos otros lugares. Totalmente recomendable.

We had a wonderfull time at Da Jonny last night. The food was amazing, the wine suggestion suberb (we’re very critical about wine) and the staff excellent (but maybe a bit too funny for our daughters’ tastes). Jonny, we wish you and your wife an amazing stay in Amsterdam next week!

This was hands down the best restaurant we went to in Italy, much less Venice. The warm, inviting service we received from Matthew was unmet any place else. The wine recommendation was out of this world and the food was the best «Welcome to Italia» your taste buds could ever experience. This trattoria is far away from the action and nestled in the heart of Castello which was right where we were staying. I could not have asked for a better full-course dinner from start to finish. Definitely try their tiramasu and, if you’re feeling a bit brave, a glass of their Grappa (still have not tasted anything nearly as good).

This place is tucked away in a small «square» that seems like only locals would know. However we were surrounded by a variety of languages so somehow it’s been discovered. We had the prawns marinated with onion and vinegar with pumpkin, pine nuts and raisins… maybe? Anyway it was fantastic and unusual. We both had fish and they couldn’t have been more different. The seabass was thin and slightly crisp and savory over chicory greens, the monk fish was fat and moist, wrapped in bacon over spinach with pine nuts and pomegranate seeds. Everything worked together in term of flavors but could have hung together better in terms of presentation. The chocolate cake was sheer sweetness but worked with our red wine. We felt like this was a charming, delicious find.

We had delicious Risotto of the day, with scallops and mussels; followed by Squids in Black sauce with polenta. Both are delicious! The wait staff was very nice, attentive and accomodating.
