So my girlfriend and I were on a wild goose chase to go find a pizzeria by the name of antico forno(great place I would recommend checking out) and we just were starving. So we just sat down here because there was nothing else close by. So we were greeted by 2 Italian waiters and also a Chinese owner(disclaimer that I am Chinese also). The prices were decent: 11 – 13 euro for a gnocchi bolognese and 13 – 15 euro linguini with shrimp. However be warned. They charge 2.50 euro for water and don’t have tap water. Also they charge a 5 euro cover fee!!! IFYOUDONTKNOW what this is look it up before eating here. Onto the food: Gnocchi with bolognese. It looked good at first but you could tell the gnocchi was not very consistent in its texture. They also did not take out the oil from the meat after cooking it, making the entire dish oily and extremely heavy. Linguini with shrimp. This was a lighter dish overall, but it lacked flavor. The shrimp was just regular shrimp and added some flavor. The linguini was nothing to rave about. Overall the location was not terrible, but for Venice I must judge harder and say this place was slightly below average of what I would expect from Italy.
