Sagra Rooftop

Actually a good restaurant for a resort! We only are here once for lunch but was pleased with the food. We had a nice glass of wine along with a cheese and meat platter. It’s nice because you can choose which cheeses and meats you’d like to try and they’ll bring you a small, medium or large tray. Also these breadsticks they have are so yummy — reminds me of focaccia bread!
I tried the pumpkin risotto with duck confit and I am usually not a pumpkin fan but the flavor was so light it was fantastic with the duck as a perfect compliment. I couldn’t stop eating it! Their seafood soup looked amazing — served in a big pot overflowing with seafood. You could smell it throughout the entire restaurant. Their pasta was also perfectly cooked and all fresh ingredients.

Definitely cool to dine on a rooftop restaurant on an island. While you could make out the Venice rooftops in the distance, its not like seeing a view of Las Vegas or New York. The skyline is low, and there aren’t many lights. The food (I had the steak) and wine was pretty good. The staff friendly and patient (we asked a lot of questions about the menu). If you are staying at the Marriott, you should definitely give it a try. If not, there is a 20 minute one-​way boat ride (free Marriott Shuttle Boat) out to the island.

First of all, the resort is beautiful. The staff is extremely friendly and pleasant. The dining room is welcoming and upscale causal with an outdoor bar attached. The service and food here was a great experience. The breaded scallops with white asparagus was amazing, as well as the tortellini in chicken broth. A true treat!

After a long day walking all over the place, we decided to stay on Isola delle Rose & have dinner at the resort instead of taking the shuttle out to San Marco. We were a bit disappointed with our dinner here. The price is expected at a resort but the food was just ok. Service was decent. Full bar available. Reservation’s recommended (we ate around 9 pm because we made our reservation pretty last minute)
