Pronto is a casual deli at the Venice fish market They serve ultra-fresh seafood and all sorts of tasty Italian marvels. The food was extraordinarily delicious! It’s not expensive and is popular with fisherman and locals as well as visitors. Sadly it is often closed, with rather unpredictable hours, but if you catch it open… its a must!

Avoid this tourist trap!!! Vastly overrated, 4.00 euro for week-old scallop in shell !!! 4.50euro if with onions EACH!!! Cold seafood risotto for 8.00euro!!! No ambience, just a fastfood joint hole in the wall. Stay away…

Nestled next to the Rialto Fish Market, this cramped and crowded little fish delicatessen serves up ever-changing but always fresh delights from the sea. The day we were there, seafood risotto was the main draw, and the friendly server came around with the pot and gave everyone free second helpings! But as far as we were concerned, the little sandwiches were the real stars… we had sardine & fig and tuna with prosciutto. You’ll have trouble finding a place to sit, and in the summer it gets hotter than the devil’s armpit in here, but it’s definitely a great place for a quick and quality snack or even lunch.
