Great hidden local place. Highly recommended. Password: «no pizza». Do not expect here many-​pages touristic menu, as well as menu in English. But their modest menu has everything what you need, fixed to perfection. This place is definitely for locals. Highly recommended cichetti. Minestrone is also great, as well as fish carpaccio.
If you like to try something really local, really authentic, try to find this place. It is pretty easy: right under the Rialto Bridge.

After being in Venice for two nights, we were yet to have a great dinner. We just kept hitting tourist trap after tourist trap. Then finally we found this place listed in a travel book. It was off the beaten path near the Ponte di Rialto. While it’s not located overlooking the Grand Canal like all the tourist traps, eating in the alley was so worth it!
The menu here was hand written and all in Italian, both really good signs that the people here really care about what they served
The food here was great! I would highly recommend it! I have already recommended it to someone!
If I ever go back to Venice, I will be going here!

We found the food here marginal at best. The place itself is somewhat charming, located it seems off an alleyway. There are only a handful of tables inside and similarly outside. It looks like a popular place for tours to get a glass of wine. The food though was very disappointing. We had the lasagna special and it tasted like it had been microwaved. Similarly, the eggplant parmesan was bland. I’m not sure how others found the service charming. It wasn’t.

We stopped by for a simple plate of cicchetti and wine and we weren’t disappointed. The appetizers were good and the service was friendly. There are several outdoor tables but be forewarned that this restaurant doesn’t have any view. You are sitting in an alleyway. The servers were friendly and welcoming. The entrees we saw looked pretty good and the menu was handwritten in Italian, so you know the food is fresh. The cicchetti was fresh and delicious, in particular the cheese croquettes. Overall this is a cute place and a great stop to refresh with a glass of wine and small bites.
