Wish I could give Moro more stars, but I can’t. We came to this spot for dinner because of the good, but limited reviews it had& also it was 2 blocks away from our hotel. We knew that hours were tricky here in Venice, due to the few hours that they close during late mid/late afternoon. We sharply came @ 1730, the time that was posted on the restaurant door(we attempted to go the day prior). Door was locked… And we knocked thinking it was some type of VIP room. The lady opened the door and said 8PM. Luckily our hotel was around the corner. We got back around 8, and had a 10 minute wait. Which isn’t bad considering the owner insisted we should make reservations. We got our menus, but to our disappointment, the menus were in Italian. So we went on a whim and ordered what we assumed the plates would be, we got the gnocchi with meat sauce and the maccheroncini(which really isn’t the macaroni you think Americans eat that are elbow shaped). As we placed our order with the owner, he asked for our«secondi» honestly, we just wanted our pasta dishes and no «main course.» We shook our heads and said no thank you, but he insisted that we order a main course. As we nervously looked through the menu, we said«trippa,» which I knew meant intestines. I prayed that this was the right decision. My «macaroni» was decent, pasta al dente, with a tomato sauce. The gnocchi was just too salty. The ground meat that was cooked with the gnocchi was good. After our pasta, we got our trippa. And we both stared at it nervously… We took a bite& it was delicious! Not salty, perfectly cooked and worked well with the tomato sauce it came in. There was also a grilled slice of plain polenta on the side as well. We got lucky !! Not sure if I’ll try this place again, hypothetically speaking because I’d doubt I’ll be lucky enough to to be in Venice in this lifetime again.

We ate here last night, didn’t book which was ok but meant they rushed us a little to get the table for people who had! But, the food and service were excellent, we shared 3 plates plus a desert each and wine. Great value and good service.

Omg omg omg yum. My man and I thought we wouldn’t find anything good in this small town outside of Venice Venice but we did! If you end up here in Venice mestre definitely drop by! Great atmosphere and food :)

Ate here after reading the reviews. Definitely well worth going as the food is great and prices are acceptable. Probably ordered too much for one person: selection of cured meats, bruschetta, carpaccio. If I had to pick one the selection of meats was pretty amazing in terms of value for money. The carpaccio was excellent too though.

This was a great little restaurant on the corner down the road from our flat. It was authentic Italian! Fresh! We did not do all the courses, just pasta and salad. Loved it!

Fantastic place recommended by a local. We were the first ones in as they opened and are so glad we went. Wine selection is VAST, by Italian region, and we’ll priced. Sorry we didn’t get a soup which we saw as we were leaving. Husband had pumpkin ravioli and I had spaghetti with tomatoes and olives. Both were superb. We shared a steak tartar that was prepared at our table. I MUST learn to make this. If you don’t know, this is RAWBEEF!!! Spectacular but not quiet as good as the Czech version from last week. For dessert, he had tiramisu and I had lemon sorbet with vodka and candied ginger. So good we made a reservation for the follow night!
