The real reason to come here is to get suggestions on Gluten Free dining throughout Venice. Bring a map so they can mark down where the restaurants are. The people we met there were extremely friendly, and were excited to tell us their restaurant recommendations and even took us through the store showing us their favorite local GF pastries. They told us the owner trains and tests the restaurants regularly, so you can trust their recommendations to be well vetted. The most unique thing we saw while there was pre-made ice cream in a gluten free cone. There were also baking supplies, candy, and lots of interesting pasta shapes that are difficult to find GF in the US — it’s just sad pasta is difficult to put in a suitcase without crushing. Overall the selection was slim. Of course; this is from the perspective of someone living in SF who has lots of access to GF items; so take that in context.

Mea Libera Tutti made our trip to Venice fantastic! Stocked up on gluten free products and the owner gave us a great recommendation for a gluten free restaurant! Five stars!

It’s a gluten free products store. Cookies, savory and lots of other ready and to cook pasta etc. It should be your first stop in Venice. Azurra is also a treasure trove of info about restaurants that serve gluten free with care. Right address is in the photos too 3763 Calle de la Racheta
