Hotel Antiche Figure

Venice was the first stop on my honeymoon. My wife and I had issues with our flight and ended up missing our first night in Venice. When we arrived, we were tired and frustrated. The staff at the Hotel Antiche Figure were incredible. They gave us a great room. We overlooked the canal from the corner of the hotel. It was our favorite place to stay in Italy. Everyone working there had incredible attitudes and made you feel right at home. I could not recommend this place more highly!

They offered me a lovely room in their annex. When being walked there we got skeptic, but the room blew us away. The folks at the reception worked seamlessly — they knew what their colleagues had told/​promised us. The breakfast spread was truly out of the world — they also packed breakfast for us when we had to check out very early in the morning. Make sure you stay here when in Venice and ask for room in annex. You will love this place for the friendly folks and the location. Take the train to St Lucia terminus and just walk over the bridge. But beware if you take heavy luggage — you are bound to regret lugging it over the bridge!

Perfect for us! We took the train from Milan to Venice and I had chosen Antiche Figure because of its location close to the train station. Unlike lots of cities, Venice’s train station is surrounded by beautiful neighborhoods. The hotel is across the canal from the station and we paid a porter 15 € to take our bags across the very large and steep bridge. It was definitely worth it.
The hotel is so charming! Extremely friendly and accommodating staff. Our room was small, but gorgeous. Very lovely marble bathroom. Quiet. Breakfast (included) was great: croissants, other pastry, fresh fruit, salami, cheese, fresh rolls, juices, cereals, cappuccino, etc. One of the employees offered to make my daughter a hot chocolate with steamed milk.
The location is fantastic — a few hundred feet to the vaporetto that goes the whole Grand Canal route. Take it and spend a few hours at Piazza San Marco with a billion other people. We did that, but preferred just walking out of the hotel and following any of the streets finding ourselves in the most magical surroundings. Crossing back over the large bridge and a short walk you’ll find the Venice Ghetto which has great restaurants, history and museums.
I would stay at Antiche Figure again in a heart beat.

highly recommended. location is very convenient. took the water taxi which docked in front of hotel. The train station is across the bridge in front. View of grand canal. can wak tipiazza San Marco in 20 mins.
staff is super friendly and helpful. I was able to get coffee before 7. Breakfast was free and very nice. coffee was fabulous.
Rooms were clean and fresh towels every day.
Will stay there next time.

Highly recommended hotel… I would absolutely stay here again. Every person we interacted with was very friendly, professional and helpful. I enjoyed the breakfast buffet and cappuccinos very much. The weather was excellent when we went in May, and we had our windows open. The bathroom was very nice and modern.

My stay at Antiche Figure may have been the best experience at a hotel I’ve ever had. First off, it is in a great location — right on the Grand Canal and steps away from the pedestrian bridge near the train station.
The entire staff was extremely warm, friendly, welcoming and went out of our way to ensure we had a great stay. Because we were the only ones booked there for two nights that week, they upgraded us, free of charge, to a really awesome suite. It was actually located around the corner in a separate building, but the concierge/​bellman was very courteous and carried all our luggage for us up two flights of stairs. The room was great — with separate sleeping and living/​dining area with a kitchenette. The shower had like seven different water faucets/​sprayer things. It was amazing! The included continental breakfast had one of the best variety of options of all the places we stayed in Italy and there were many attendants that made sure we had everything we needed.
They also offer free transportation to Murano Island to see the glass factories which I though was a nice bonus, unfortunately we didn’t have enough time.
All in all, I give this place the hightest recommendation and will always remember my time there!

I recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Venice! We took the train from Rome to Venice and all we had to do was cross the bridge to get to our hotel. We walked in and was amazed how nice this hotel was. The staff here were very helpful and friendly. Our room was very clean and nice. Breakfast was good here every morning. We were right next to the canal too which was really pretty. The staff there were helpful when it came to suggesting places to eat. When I come back to Venice I will most likey stay in this hotel again!!! Ciao!
