So awesome we went twice. We really loved our trip to Venice, and decided to round it off with a trip to the hard rock café. This was an excellent decision, both times. On our first visit I noticed an interesting thing. We were welcomed in and asked where we were from. Well I’m English and my wife is from the States, but we live in England. We were asked if wanted a table for two and we said yes, we were then seated without any delay at all upstairs with an awesome view of the gondola pick up area outside. While sitting waiting to be served I looked over the balcony, where I saw people being told that they would have to wait for tables and given the pager that tells them when a table is available. Looking around, upstairs there was virtually NOONE there. OK, this looked odd, perhaps they were a big party? They seemed to be Italian nationals rather than tourists, so perhaps there’s the other possible likelihood that they weren’t seated because English and Americans tip? Only conjecture, but seems possible. On our second visit we were given a pager because there weren’t enough tables, this seemed pretty likely considering it was pouring with rain. So we waited, but only long enough to order some drinks and pay for them, then our pager went off. So perhaps my initial hypothesis was wrong? I can’t say which is true, I can say that we did have a good time on both occasions. We haven’t been to the Hard Rock café in ten years! But as it was very close to San Marco, just a short walk in fact we decided to go. The first visit was on Tuesday 7th June and we were welcomed by very pleasant and friendly staff. We ordered in Italian, which seemed to be appreciated by our servers. Drinks came alone within 3 minutes of our order. Drinks ARE expensive, however the soda’s are bottomless, so if you had 3 or 4 at E 6.95 that would make the price pretty reasonable. I ordered the Local Legendary, which is different wherever you go in the world, using local excellent produce; the venetian Legendary has caramelized onions, prosciutto ham, Italian ripe tomato, lettuce, swiss cheese and a mayo based dressing with a side salad and fries. My wife had a barbeque hickory burger with fries. Mine was delicious with some very interesting flavours, the caramelized onions slightly bitter with a sweet undertone. I finished my soda half way through and our waitress just took the glass and filled it up without a word from me. Excellent service. We decided not to stay for dessert as we had seen some gelati with our names on it earlier. The Second visit was much busier on Thursday 9th June(Yeah, we were so impressed we went back two days later.) partly because of the rain, and partly because it was closer to dinner. We were told we’d have to wait this time, but the wait was very short and we were shown to upstairs tables again, with more glorious views of the gondola’s. More excellent and pleasant service. This time I had a Java Lava burger, another from the local legendary range; a Angus Beef patty grilled and dressed in a house-made espresso rub and topped with lava sauce, crunchy java onions, bacon, melted Tillamook Cheddar cheese and garnished with a fried jalapeño which was even better than the Venetian burger! Delicious! My wife had another of the barbeque hickory burger this time with cheesy fries. We decided to succumb to temptation of dessert this time and shared a massive hot fudge brownie which we couldn’t finish. It was awesome, from service to ambiance. Will definitely not leave it as long to go back to the Hard Rock again! Very highly recommended!

My family and I ate here for lunch today and here is my summary: Customer Service: We were greeted upon entering and given a 30 minute wait for our table. We knew to expect a wait so I looked around the clothing section until our table was ready(Actual Wait; closer to 45 minutes): 3-Star Food: We ordered Nachos, a kids Burger, and a kids Pizza. The Nachos were either stale when we got them or placed in the oven and forgotten. It was so hectic inside the restaurant we dared not ask for them to redo our meal. The kid’s burger was so dry I know that it was not recently cooked. Also, the pizza was edible but they layered six small squares on top of each other(looked more like lasagne). It made it very difficult for my daughter to eat(super smart plating): 1-Star Price: I would not advise a restaurant(which wants repeat customers) to charge exorbitant prices for food that is pushed out of the kitchen without a quality check. I know some customers’ experience might differ, but they were not on their«A Game» when we dined there: 1-Star 15% Military Discount: 5-Star Restaurant Cleanliness: The female bathroom had two stalls and ours was not clean. I didn’t want to touch anything and only one of the two sinks worked: 1-Star

God Bless America! After days of pasta and pasta and pasta, a Hickory Bacon burger with onion rings and nachos was mothers milk. It’s a great location as well. Five stars for a grateful American in Venice!

Seriously? Anyone who gives this place a descent review is a clear tourist and needs to get out more. Don’t get me wrong, I go to the Hard Rock as a more of a novelty than a reality. The drinks are insanely priced, service is sub-par, and it really doesn’t get less authentic than a place that’s staffed and built out in cities around the world. If you’re into boring, consistency, and spending 3x on a drink you would elsewhere, cool. Enjoy your bachelorette party, because this place is too cheesy and bro-esque for anything else.

What an awesome restaurant. Service is everything. Greeted with a smile, shown to my table with a view of the canal. The waiter made great suggestions, was attentive, fast service, great food, and all done with a smile. Thanks Nicolla for making us feel welcome not only in Hard Rock but in Italy.

if you are in Venice and want to continue your Hard Rock exploration this is the place to be. its a normal Hard Rock Café and it was a fun first time Hard Rock Café experience for our 13 year old granddaughter. Situated right on the canals in Venice this hard rock café apart from other traditional Hard Rock Cafes.

I loved this restaurant! The staff was great, the food was great and the restaurant itself is great. I am so proud, being an American, to see this restaurant represented to well in Venice Italy. We are here for lunch and just got the sampler platter but it came with large portions of everything! Potato skins, onion rings, buffalo wings, chicken strips and a delicious spinach artichoke dip. I was very impressed!

A Hard Rock Café. In Venice. So naturally it has it’s own(well shared with Boss and a Best Western hotel) Gondoler stop. Smaller than most HRCs and the ceiling feels a little low, making it more noisy because of that. You can’t have a quiet meal here! Also be wary of touring parties of noisy American youth… ;) if you don’t want that experience. On the plus side, it’s less than one minute’s walk from northwest corner of St. Mark’s square. Has the standard bar and restaurant is upstairs. Shop is small, but well stocked with all the usual stock and city-specific merchandise. Has different city-specific shirts and pins from the Hard Rock Shop(no food/drink) at Rialto bridge. Most staff speak good English if you don’t want to exercise your Italiano. Great if you want a break from Pizza and pasta! Tastes all major credit cards AND has FREEEE WiFi! :)

I went here last summer. It has quite a beautiful place. It’s located nearby the San Marco Square. It’s a small café with a small rock shop and there were a lot of people visiting it. I had a quick drink there and then we moved on. I’m a HRC fan, visit several cafes in Europe. The city of this café is just so beautiful, if you’re in Venice you should visit this café. In the summer time it’s a very popular city. There are a lot of tourists in the city.

Hard Rock Cafés are pretty much everywhere and the one in Venice is no different. This one is located near Piazza San Marco and after having gelato, we decided to grab some drinks at the Hard Rock and enjoy the afternoon. Service was great and the server even split out checks accordingly. You can even watch some gondolas go by outside the window. Don’t ask me why I’m still sore about that.

I’m a Hard Rock junkie, I’ll admit it. So, of course I had to hit this location up since, hey, I was in Venice! The staff was EXCELLENT when it came to checking on my husband and I, the food was great… and the major plus? The front of the restaurant is floor to ceiling window. Why is that cool? Well, right in front of the Hard Rock is a pick up point for the gondolas… SOOO many gorgeously painted gondolas! To wrap this up, the Hard Rock in Venice is awesome and you should check it out if you happen to be in the area :)

Little small place. We’ve hit plenty of HRs, and this one wasn’t too bad. Was a nice place to stop in at in the center of Venice and take a break. Staff was very friendly and the drinks were good.

While vacationing I needed a pasta break and enjoy a good American meal. This Hard Rock is located just outside of St Mark’s square. The bar has no stools so we elected to wait and dine in for lunch. The wait was 15 minutes and the dinning room is upstairs overlooking a gondola docking area. It was entertaining watching the gondola operators maneuver in and out of a tight area and load passengers with such efficiency. Started off with ice tea’s with complimentary refills and an order of hot wings with sliced celery and hot fresh fries with blue cheese crumbles. I followed with the Legendary 10 oz burger topped with seasoned bacon, two slices of Cheddar cheese, a crisp fried onion ring, lettuce, tomato, and pickles. The burger was a hit and was delish, The service here was spot on and accommodating. I would recommend this HR Café for a beverage or meal.

After walking for 40 minutes, getting lost, arguing with my husband whilst trying to find San Marco square… I looked up and voila there was the Hard Rock Café. There was no way we were going to get to/find Alfredo’s before they closed and at that point all we wanted was a beer. So we agreed not to tell anyone that we went to the Hard Rock Café while in a country rich with culinary delights. But after downing one beer and ordering some chicken tenders, I was actually looking forward to something other than pizza, pasta, and bread. So we ate our over priced meal and some what enjoyed it. When we left HRC, we walked a few more blocks and there was San Marco square the whole time. Whoops.

Best Hard Rock Café! I highly recommend getting buffalo wings or a cheeseburger with fries. There is pictures on the wall of singers and what they wore or their guitars or something that they signed. When your done ride a gondola!

I’m not embarrassed we went here(because someone else in our group HAD to go), but sad that we chose this place over something a little more culturally indigenous. But as it was Day 8 of our trip and the first cave-in, I didn’t put up a fuss. As far as Hard Rocks go(I’ve now been in London, Dallas, Honolulu, Bahrain, Cairo, Pattaya and Tokyo), this place is a bit lacking in the memorabilia department. There’s a dress Shakira wore at the entry and a few guitars(some identical?), but I really don’t remember anything else rocking out the joint. In hopes of at least trying something different, I opted for the Local Legendary Burger and was pleased. See photo! The view out the front is that of a gondola parking lot. Prices were € 80 there, as they were everywhere else we asked, so it wasn’t a complete tourist trap. The free WiFi was helpful for afternoon planning. We did take note of some other tourists wanting to use the WiFi and the hostess telling them that they just had to purchase a cup of coffee to have access… but they were too cheap for that and walked away. That would be like € 2 – 3 for unlimited WiFi for however long they stayed… not bad gouge for future travellers! Our friends seemed to really enjoy their burgers and the experience, so that helped ease the pain of settling for this establishment.

I’m embarrassed to say I went here. My story, and I’m sticking to it, is that I didn’t want to but our host did. It’s the same as every other freaking Hard Rock Café. For example, they only playing music 30 – 50 years old. However, This Hard Rock has the enviable pleasure of being smack-dab in the middle of one of the most unique and fascinating historical cities on earth. Now, back to the review. Why don’t they update these places? The hamburger was predictable and safe, although the menu contained a disturbing asterisk pointing out that nearly everything on the menu had been frozen for an indeterminate period of time. If you read this review, pick literally any random local restaurant in Venice or all of Italy, and you’ll enjoy it more. Trust me.

Stimmt schon irgenwie

Great break from a diet largely consisting of starch and tomato sauce while on our visit to Italy. The people are friendly and the food is good. If coming during holiday months(June-Aug.) be prepared to wait 30 – 45 min for a table for two. Go grab a drink at the bar or take a step outside and watch the Gondolas dock.

I can’t believe there isn’t a Review for the Hard Rock Café. The Usual Fantastic American Food. My Burger was absolutely perfect, juicy and delicious and real fries of course. Great view of the Gondolas in the canal. If you are a Hard Rock Café fan, this is the place to be in Venice, just steps away from San Marco Plaza.
