A great little gem of a find that we happened upon on a rainy afternoon in Venice. Warm, welcoming staff, brilliant coffee and a friend friendly atmosphere. If you see it on your travels, make sure to go in a have a look for yourself — you won’t be disappointed!

Located by the bridge of Accademia with an amazing view, overlooking the canal with the water buses and taxis passing by. The foods are over-priced, which I understand because it is a very touristy restaurant. Well Venice is touristy to begin with, and I don’t mind paying a lot for food because, when can I ever get another chance to indulge on Italian food, in Venice with an incredible view?! I went to Foscarini just after I visited Peggy Guggenheim, which is just 5 minutes away as it is also located in Accademia. I ordered 2 pizzas, which were margharita and something similar with wurstel sausages. Both were delicious! They were thin pizzas with a very rich taste — a strong taste of buttery melted mozzarella which I love. I finished the whole pizza! Anyone could so if you’re alone, order a whole pizza. Oh, and don’t forget to order Spritz!

Bar at the Accademia waterbus stop with incredible canal views. It is a overpriced tourist trap though. Service is accomodating, food is bleh, drink selection bleh. Save your $ and time for a better option.

Good café by the bridge at the Accademia Vaporetto stop. Pizzas are pretty good. Service is ok(good by Italian standards). Great view of the Grand Canal from the outdoor seats. In a city full of tourist traps, you can do a lot worse.
