Situated on the Grand Canal this hotel is perfectly placed for a trip to Venice. A 3 or 4 minute stroll from the Ca D’Ora waterbus landing stage, perfect if you are arriving by train or coach from the airport(remember waterbus no 1). Restaurants and bars abound within very easy walking distance and only a 10 minute stroll to St. Marks Square. I say 10 minutes, it took us longer as my partner loves window shopping in Gucchi, Prada etc etc LOL. We arrived early and our room was not ready, we didn’t expect it to be so no problem at all. The very smiley and charming receptionist took all our details and we left the cases in the lobby while we viewed the wonderful sights for the first time. Returning, we were given the key to our room on the third floor overlooking the square outside the hotel. Our bags had already been taken up(a nice touch). Lovely clean and spacious room with an enormous double bed and sofa. Minibar, safe deposit box, TV, telephone. The bathroom was huge in marble tiling. Nice bath and shower. Unfortunately, the hydrobath and hydroshower did not work but the shower was more than adequate for our four night stay. I am sure that management would have sorted it our had we commented. Towels were changed every day for sparkling new ones. In the room was a bottle of white sparkling wine to celebrate my 70th birthday. Thank you management for that, it was greatly appreciated. A very quiet room. After a nights sleep, and we needed it, we wandered down to breakfast. Expecting a continental breakfast we were surprised at the various foods available. The standard cereals, breads, hot food, cold salamis, cheeses, yoghurts, fresh fruit salad, fresh fruit etc etc. More than adequate to set you up for the day ahead. The hotel has a roof terrace overlooking the canal. Lovely to sit and view the goings on along the High Street of Venice. The first evening we sat on the landing stage of the hotel, with my bottle of wine. A lovely end to a fantastic first day. Tip. If you want to get to the other side of the canal and want to avoid the walk to the Rialto bridge there is a gondola ferry service(for 2 euros) just outside the hotel. I can’t say any more about this wonderful hotel except, on our next visit, I hope they can fit us in. Thank you all, for a wonderful 70th birthday, see you soon.

Excellent hotel. Twenty minutes walk from the train station. Twenty minute walk to Marco square. Rooms are clean, spacious, and just off the main walk way. Does have free wifi. It did require us to log in every few hours. Staff was really nice and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. Typical European style they did offer melon and sweet fruit cake that was delicious. The front of the hotel was right on the canal. View was amazing.

Absolut empfelenswert in meinen Augen.
