Crazy Bar

The fact that there wasn’t a review on this place when I went there is usually cause for me to just keep on walking past the restaurant but we were starving so we decided to stop since it’s on a canal which is a nice view. We are lucky that we did stop because the food was delicious and the service was great. Alfred was very attentive and when we ordered a second bottle of the wine we loved was sold out, he brought us a nicer bottle that was more expensive but gave it to us for the same price. The second wine was somehow even better than the first wine.
Now on to the food. We ordered the caprese, four cheese gnocchi and the penne all’arrabbiata. The combo of sharing the gnocchi and the arrabbiata was a great match. The creaminess of the gnocchi and the spiciness of the arrabbiata sauce was a perfect balance. They cook the noodles perfectly al dente too. I wish we had more time in Venice to go back to this place again.
