When our party of four arrived(no reservation), the place was well crowded. The chef was very friendly and quickly checked on available tables. He said he’ll get us one in a few minutes, turned out to be about 10 or so, but the wait time was sweetened with a nice glass of red eine for the adults and a small but tasty antipasti platter. It made waiting an easy and enjoyable thing. The interior is simple, but adequate. It’s a bit like sitting in the family’s living room. The menu features a good selection and variety of typical dishes, including the mandatory pasta and pizza. Our group chose as starters the cold cuts platter, beef carpaccio, and the buffalo mozzarella carprese. For the main dishes we picked a variation of pizza and the home made lasagna. Although the place was full, the staff was very friendly and attentive! We got a good recommendation for a nice wine and the kids got extra recommendations by Andrea, the lady of the house. The verdict: The food was good! Not«haute cuisine», but exactly what we expected and wanted — on a good level! You may think that there’s not a lot that can be done wrong with pizza — but once you tried the pizza here, you’ll realize there’s a lot the others did wrong… The pizza was«italian perfect»! All in all, this place is one of those«secret tips» in Venice that you don’t want to tell anyone about…

Nous sommes allés au hasard dans ce restaurant. Et quel heureux hasard! Petit restaurant absolument pas touristique, excellente cuisine traditionnelle, accueil très sympathique(merci Andrea Z.!) et jovial, le tout dans un cadre très convivial. Il est possible de s’assoir en terrasse(2 ou 3 petites tables), en salle intérieure climatisée ou encore à des tables hautes style bar, dans une cour intérieure. La carte est assez variée et les prix abordables. On sent que les produits utilisés en cuisine sont de bonne qualité. Nous avons choisi en entrée de la bresaola avec des poivrons grillés, et puis en plat bacala façon vénitienne et ravioli a la bresaola et tomates. Tout était délicieux, les portions juste assez généreuses pour assurer la satiété sans que ce soit de trop. Une excellente adresse qu’on recommande très chaleureusement. Petite surprise bonus: nous avons vu le nom du restaurant dans le guide vénitien du mois courant(après y avoir mangé).

Was here in August 2014, luckily found a place by accident looking for the famous tapas bar around the corner. Wife and I were exploring the fish market and started walking down the streets. There was a restaurant fully packed down this tiny path, and beyond it, Antico, no one was sitting outside. We sat down, got some wine and ordered, my Greek Salad was really good. She ordered a pizza with potatoes on it and it was the BESTPIZZA I have ever had, blew us away. Nice folks, hard to find, but again, right around the corner from the famous Tapas place with the copper buckets. Go here, delicious, best meal in Venice on our 4 day stay. Affordable as well.

Venitian Traditional food with a modern contemporary touch Food @ it s best, all beautifully prepared, the way it should be made, not for nothing local people eat there on a regular basis. Super Fresh ingredients right from the RIALTO main market. Cannot wait to get back !!! the Host Alvise makes the difference you are looking for in suggesting the perfect menu from the catch of the day.

Durant notre séjour nous y avons dîné 2 fois, vraiment très sympa. Pour trouver le resto il faut ouvrir les yeux car il est bien caché en dehors du flux principal !! Mais le bouche à oreille fonctionne bien ! Le spectacle est aussi bien dans l’assiette qu’en cuisine avec le chef qui dresse les plats avant de servir. Les produits sont de très bonne qualité(specialités vénitiennes mais aussi hamburger revisité) et tout est fait sans chichi !!! Resto à decouvrir sans hésiter.
