Well — Let me be the first to clue you in. There are certainly people that will love this upscale dining experience(you can find them on trip advisor maybe). My husband and I also enjoy fine dining — but this — as I have rated — is how I feel. We were visiting for our honeymoon — and had a wonderful visit — saw and ate so much off the tourist path — it was truly wonderful — a great start to our trip. We rented an apt. steps from this restaurant and as it had gotten pretty chilly at night — this was a perfect pick for our final dinner. Or so we thought. We did get in without a reservation — around 9pmish — wonderful. The atmosphere is very lovely. Unfortunately — The waiter from the start was quick with us — we ordered wine(and he seemed annoyed we didn’t magically know what we wanted — tho we had no wine list) — water — salads and split an $ 85. steak. Soooooo. .. I would love to be treated like guests in your country — in your establishment. We would also have ordered dessert but the service — tho very efficient — was rude. Now maybe this is just me — but when you are planning to spend a good amount of money — you expect to be treated cordially. It was weird — Perhaps there was a cultural barrier — but I do know enough Italian to get by and politely ask for almost anything — so I don’t think it was something I did. We did not encounter this anywhere else. And the food was good — it was well displayed and should have been a $ 100. meal — then I would not feel so cheated of a wonderful evening. We stayed for coffee — which the waiter gave me a. .. well — hurry up an order something — look and shrug. There are many many much better food/experiences in Venice — we had better luck just stumbling into a place. Much better luck. Spend your tons of money elsewhere :) But do go to La Fenice — they have amazing lovely talent — one is a close childhood friend :) This is an example of money well spent.
