(4÷9÷2014) Snack shop right in front of the pier for the water taxi stop on the outlying island of Burano. One of the cheapest places to grab a bite on Burano, but serves up some fried seafood specialties. Had the Fritto Misto(calamari, sardines, head-on whole shrimp), was salty, fresh, and breaded flaky-crispy. A Calamari platter was piping hot and tender(probably higher turnover for the calamari platters over the Fritto Misto). One of our party can’t eat seafood, got a sufficient Spiede of chunks of breaded and deep-fried mozzarella cheese, chicken breast, potato, and meatball; was OK not great, rather dry(probably low turnover vs. the seafood). Quick stop to refuel before getting back on the vaporetto, plenty of seating and plenty of cats for company.
