C’era una volta

This restaurant is a little gem in a place where you wouldn’t expect it. The entrance is on street level of a living block. The restaurant itself is on the first floor. Brave people can take the ancient elevator, but only with a maximum of 2 persons and a max width of 60 centimeters. A good way to get in the mood for this restaurant, which is cozy, with nice colours and decorations.
The staff speaks sufficient English, were friendly and very correct.
We ordered the season menu with suitable wines. The menu consisted of various dishes with white tartuffe. All of those dishese were good to excellent.
The highlights were the local molten cheese with poached egg and tartuffo on top, extremely tasty. I myself was in strong favour of the pasta (ravioli stuffed with tartuffo). The antipasta was another taste explosion of beefsteak tartare and carpaccio. To our surprise, the accompagnying wines were all reds, all of them from the Piemonte-​region.
When you’re about to visit Turin (€ 15 for a single flight from Eindhoven), this is one of the restaurants where you can be sure to get a very fine meal.

tolles Ambiente, einfach ein netter Italiener, immer voll, deshalb Reservierung notwendig, tolles Preis/​Leistungsverhältnis, super wenn man Trüffel mag, Menü ist sehr zu empfehlen, man kann schnell daran vorbei laufen, ist im 1. Stock, viel Spaß
