The view is spectacular. Seated next to the temple ruin and Villa Gregoriano is a must do. I recommend the lemon cake.

Beautiful atmosphere. The view from the outside seating is superb. Everything was delicious. I highly recommend the Mille feuille and fiore di zucca!!! Best in all of Italy!!!

I’ll second Megan’s review — this was the best meal we had during our week in/near Rome. The setting is spectacular, the staff are warm and welcoming, the food is delicious and very reasonably priced. I had the white fish entrée, which was excellent, but I was with a large group that ordered just about everything on the menu, and everyone was enthusiastic. It’s not traditional Roman cuisine, which tends to be very simple and, IMHO, not very tasty; the fare here is «Italian» in the vaguest sense — it’s really contemporary, cosmopolitan, Continental European cuisine.

To preface, I came here with a large group the night before we were heading back to the U. S and after we’d spent 2 weeks traveling around Italy. Our 2 tour guides told us they’d picked this place for us(thank goodness they did) and everyone in our group got dressed up! It is a small bit of a drive up from Rome, but definitely well worth it. The views alone are worth the drive. However, the food? Oh my word, you haven’t eaten food until you’ve eaten here. Considering that our group had 50+ people in it, I was amazed that all of the food came out so fast and so perfect. We started off with 2 wines(a red and a white) and I fell in LOVE with the white(which I posted a picture of). Our first course was spinach and ricotta ravioli with marinara – OH. MY. GOSH. I wanted to fall on the floor and die it tasted so good. I actually got a couple more ravioli after I’d finished mine because they were so good; I’d gladly eat them every day for the rest of my life. The second course was veal with spinach(I think) and braised potatoes(again, I think?). I’d sworn to myself never to eat veal, but I figured, «Hey…when in Rome-or in the city above Rome…» It was exquisite! I gobbled the potatoes up, but I didn’t touch the spinach(sorry fiber, maybe some other day). Our third course was dessert and OHZEUS was it good! It was ‘mille feuille’ with some type of heavenly vanilla mousse with miniature chocolate chips. I ate all of mine and then ate the other half of my friend’s dessert since she couldn’t finish hers off. I gladly consumed it. I would also eat that every day for the rest of my life. The waiters were very polite and courteous(I tried to use what Italian I knew) and I think it was the manager who jumped in to a picture someone took of me and a friend. That was a funny surprise! Overall, this is basically the best restaurant I’ve ever eaten at anywhere in the world. If you’re in Rome or Tivoli, you owe it to your mouth and stomach to go here. Also, they have ancient architecture outside on the patio. WHEREELSECANYOUEATBESIDEANCIENTROMANARCHITECTURE?
