We spent three days in Sorrento and are here dinner twice. The food is amazing. The two owners which are brothers handle all the meal prep and cooking. We had the classic pita that comes with beef and chicken. My wife is a picky eater and she ate all of it. I highly recommend this place on your trip to Sorrento.

My husband and I spent three days in Sorrento, and ate here twice. The first time I got the chicken, second time I tried the beef. Both were phenomenal! I don’t handle spicy foods well so they didn’t use the spicy chili sauce on mine, just the yogurt sauce. My husband had it though and said it was the perfect amount of heat. The owner is a super friendly guy and even gave us recommendations for other places to check out in town. I’m sad to be leaving Sorrento, these kebab pitas will haunt my dreams forever.

The atmosphere of the side alley and the friendliness of the owners got me to upvote their very solid kebab sandwich. I am used to NY style gyros and shwarma and this was different, but satisfying.

Must try. Kebab pita is sooo good. The guys are really passionate about their cooking. The joint is not in plain sight and is around a corner in an alley off the main street(don’t worry, the alley is not creepy at all). Definitely worth it!

A nice little break from pasta/pizza. One serving is a good size for a decent and cheap meal. It’s mostly a take-out place but they do have a few bar tables and chairs. Service is very friendly but remember it’s cash only!

Do yourself a favor and check this place out! My husband and I both ordered«the classic», which was a mix of beef and chicken on a toasted pita with veggies, garlic yogurt sauce, and a chili sauce. The chili sauce packed some heat. VERY good. Would order again! All the ingredients are freshly made the morning of, which is great. The owners are two brothers and they are very passionate about what they do.

Not super happy. Drove many miles to try a kebab and they closed an hour early. Learn better supply chain it’s called safety stock… Sorry to leave a bad review, however, it was really frustrating. I didn’t get to try the food because of this. As such, I cannot comment on the quality.

Very very friendly wait staff, and they speak English well. Their kebabs are in the top tier of kebabs I have ever had, and it’s really cheap as well! Would highly recommend.

Hell yeah. Great kebab! One of the best I’ve had. Its a little spicy with the chili sauce but the yogurt sauce calms it right down. Its a little hard to find. Its tucked away up some stairs off a main road but well worth going for a cheap bite.

A great break from pizza or pasta. These guys combine the Turkish typical kebab with an Italian zest. Very friendly to the customers and I highly recommend. There’s a reason for so many 5 star reviews!

I have never had Kebob before so I don’t have a good comparison buttttt the two lovely ladies I was accompanied by said this was the best Kebob they have had. I did not have any taziki sauce so mine was just a teensy too spicy as I only got chili sauce… The owner was super nice and assertive– explained his recipe right when we came in. I am going to try other kebob joints in Europe so I have better comparisons but it worked for a cheap dinner in a gorgeous city.

After talking with our tour guide, he mentioned that it is really hard for a non Italian restaurant to survive in Sorrento. Kebab Ciampa has beat the odds and rightfully so. As wonderful it is to have a fresh caprese salad and pizza it was wonderful to have a non Italian meal. The food is excellent and it will be the least expensive meal you will have in Italy.

The best spot for lunch/small meal. Mixed kebab with tzatziki(their suggestion) was super satisfying. Just the right amount of spice.

WOW! I came all the way to Italy to find the best kebab I’ve ever had! Amazing! This is such a neat find. It’s tucked away in one of the back alleys, off one of the main streets running from Piazza Tasso. Two super nice brothers, and their Mama, run this little place, and the kebab was AMAZING! We went with the«classic», both beef and chicken, tsatiki sauce, chili sauce, lettuce, tomato and grilled onions. So good. My wife and I both put it in our top 3 meals we’ve had here in Italy, and that’s saying a lot. Please go eat here. Your stomach will love you for it.

I would have never thought the best kabab I ever had would be in Sorrento Italy. The Italian take on this classic middle eastern dish is awesome. The perfect ratio of vegis meat and sauce. Every sandwich made fresh with love. Rick Steves was right to recommend this place.

You. MUST. Come. Here. No kidding. If you don’t love it, send me a note and I’ll give you a refund.(Or at least shame you and your horrible taste buds.) it’s like finding the best food truck in the city, with stools and tables. In the world of pasta, Ragu, and squid ink comes the best Kebab you have ever had. Hands down. No matter how many times you tell people you are from«XXXX where they knooow how to make Kebab.» Intense flavored meat, excellent sauces, pita-styled dough, and the friendliest owner on the block.

This was the best food we found on our honeymoon in Italy. An island of honest customer service and high quality food in a sea of mediocre touristy eateries. We ate here 3 times during our 6 days in sorrento and even joked about getting a kebab for dessert after eating at another restaurant. Better to make one dish perfectly than 30 dishes just so-so. This place does kebobs perfectly. These actually may be my favorite kebabs ever due to the uniqueness and high quality fresh ingredients. It’s an Italian twist on a doner kebab only due to the bread(more similar to saltimbocca or pizza bread than traditional pita). The owner takes serious pride in the food he served and is proactive in explaining what he offers. I recommend the«classic» which is a perfect combination of delicious marinated beef and chicken taziki and chili sauces and lettuce tomato and onion. Falafel was also good but the classic was our favorite and quite fittingly our last supper in Italy :)
