Overrated. They had a bunch of tour groups who came in — after being seated and given menus, we didn’t see any server for about 20 minutes(no joke — timed.) We had to wave down servers THREETIMES before someone sent a waiter over to take our order. Food was mediocre and we just wanted to get out of there as soon as we were done.

Nice intro-to-Sorrento dinner. Classic Italian. Good house white wine(and lots if it). Caprese salad(realized the name is from here). I had a steak. Okay, not traditional. But couldn’t decide on a pasta. Friend had some kinda delicious penne dish that was fantastic. Overall, food was decent. Price was decent. Staff was english-speaking, attentive, efficient(key) and friendly. That made all the difference. Grazie.

This was such a great find! My mom and I wandered in here hoping to find good food after a long day of exploring and we weren’t disappointed! My only complaint is that the shrimp pasta only had 3 small pieces of shrimp. I would recommend this place to anyone that wants good pizza, wine and the antipasto salami and cheese plate was fantastic!

My dish was spectacular. Thick pasta and mussels with clams. The wine is good. So is the service. I would come back again if possible. I’m an American. The best meal so far in Europe and the price was excellent!

My girlfriend and I ate here for lunch. We had the prosciutto and mozzarella pizza and the bruschetta. The pizza was good and had a good crust. It didn’t taste too cheesey. The bruschetta was good as well. The tomatoes were flavorful but the bread was soft and flimsy. The service was good.

We had a great meal here our first night in Sorrento. Were very jet-lagged and wanted something light for dinner. The restaurant was busy but we were seated on the enclosed outside area very quickly. The meat platter and bruschetta were an ample meal to share, though we added the rocket salad and it was delicious. House red wine was very good and the pour was generous. We were served complimentary pizza slice when we were seated and a basket of bread with salad.

The worst service in all of Italy. Ordered the most basic thing possible and received the most repulsive food money could buy. I would not come back here if the food was free. The service was horrible and the food was not edible. I would rather eat at papa johns. Not a place to visit ever. Owner is a great man The definition of a SHIT tourist attraction.

Pasta is homemade. The Gnocci I had could have used a little more flavor but maybe it’s just Gnocci is simply potatoes and Pasta but the table had the cannoli which was superb and I wished I’d had it. The rigatoni with bolognese was pretty good. But all up for 8 euro a plate there were healthy portions and a great stop for a family. Their bread was also excellent.

Such a great experience, we went back for a second night. The food, service, price, and atmosphere were fantastic. Something for the whole family to enjoy and they treat you like part of their family. We have nothing but fantastic things to say – a memorable part of our trip to Sorrento.

Decent quality food however service leaves a lot to be desired. Waiters seem more interested in laying places for tables where there aren’t any customers rather than serving actual customers. Not offered bread and only customers not offered limoncello at the end of the meal. I would not return in a hurry.

We arrived here at the suggestion of our tour guide, who told us this was a non-touristy place, which was true only in the fact that it wasn’t crowded. The pizzas weren’t too expensive, only € 6 – 10 for personal pizzas that are large enough to split between two light eaters. The crust was pretty good, with a fluffy yet chewy interior, slightly crunchy top, and sort of a soft middle as has been true of all of the pizzas I had in Italy. Given that Naples is supposedly the birthplace of pizza, I was hoping for a more enlightening pizza experience. The margherita had a few specks of brownish basil when I had hoped for a lot more and fresher basil. The boscaiola pizza was a great choice.

Was of the main strip and a few locals said they eat here with their family so gave it a shot, regardless of reviews. There was a large tour group, and was a but concerned — but glad I stuck around. We had just landed from 20 hours in transit and just wanted a take out family pizza for the kids and a cold beer(for me!) The waiter put me in front of the large group, and a wood fired pizza in front of my eyes. The chef even invited me back to check it out — that alone was worth the € 10! I checked out the menu, in 4 languages — but sorrento is a tourist town and everyone needs to make money how they can… and if you make a decent pie, locals and tourists will come. For take out id return… not sure I choose to sit in tho

Average meal with high points for mozzarella balls and Parma ham. Low to average for daily special.

Tucked away in the back of a small street next to David Gelatos. We ordered lamb chops and a Hawaiian pizza. Both were quite good, the pizza had a great dough that was served rather quickly. The lamb chops was a plate of 4 lamb chops and nothing else. I would suggest to skip their deserts, I wouldn’t order their deserts again, but would truly come back for their main course. Price was very affordable and service was average.

I think we must have been unlucky. Or something. We were not impressed. Our tour brought us here for lunch. Supposedly they have good pizza. So we ordered a pizza to share, plus some individual entrees. The pizza was mediocre. We’ve had better in the US, and much better in Italy(Florence…it was sooooo good there). The individual entrees were a mixed bag. My pasta bolognese was pretty good. A solid 3 stars. My wife thought her salad was barely adequate. And our daughter, who loves mushrooms, hated her mushroom-based dish(I forget what exactly she had). She picked out all the mushrooms. And this is a girl who will eat sauteed mushrooms with nothing else! I wouldn’t return here.

Tourist trap. Menu in 4 languages. Olive oil and balsamic vinegar on the tables for the Americans. Pasta was flavorless. My dish was really hot in certain bites and slightly cold in other bites. This is the same type of Italian food I can find back in the States. No limoncello after dinner like other reviewers mentioned. Waiters had indifferent attitude. Not sure where all these positive reviews on tripadvisor and Unilocal are coming from.

So I will say my rating of a 3 star has nothing to do with the pasta or pizza so if that’s your desire read another review. My wife and I love Italian food but we were in the mood for some meat. We both started with the insalata Sorrento which was a good salad with prosciutto and cheese, probably the best I’ve had in Italy. I ordered the Misto di carne alla griglia and my wife ordered the Tagliata di filetto. All the meats were overcooked and I was not really thrilled with meal. The waiter did bring us a pizza crust which was cooked that was delicious. I do believe that the pizza would have been good. As for the place it has a nice outdoor area and the indoor dining area is nice. It was fairly quiet and the staff was patient. The big ding for me was when I paid with credit card and the waiter asked for a tip. I’ll give you a tip if I want but don’t ask for it. I would say there were definitely better places in Sorrento to eat but again I can only judge the meats.

Fantastic find! We stumbled upon this restaurant during a casual afternoon walk and loved it so much we went back the next day. The service, especially our waiter Mariano, was fantastic. Their house wine is very good, every meal ends with a complimentary Limoncello(our 2nd visit ended with a complimentary liter of it), and the food is delicious. Our waiter was quick to provide recommendations and remembered us the next day — he even wrote«USA» on our plates in chocolate as a nice touch. Very nice place to spend an afternoon!

Thought we were going to find a gem after all the positive reviews. One word of advice, sit inside unless you don’t mind all the cigarette smoke in the covered patio. But both our seafood risotto and spaghetti with clam and cherry tomato were undercooked. We didn’t even get the lemon cello shots after dinner either.

Took the train from Napoli to Sorrento just for dinner. Found this place via good reviews on Unilocal and we were not disapointied! Great meal. If we ever come back to southern Italy, we will be sure to stay near Sorrento and leave Napoli alone.
