Loved this little Irish Bar in the middle of Sorrento. Bartender is friendly and fun to chat with! Stop in and grab a Guinness here.

Pretty fun small bar. Old American songs, staff is fun, upbeat. We had an open tab stayed for an hour and went right on to the next place. It’s an «Irish pub».

VERMIN. We went for a wedding to Sorrento and for some reason ended up in this dive. We kept returning each night because it was the place to find each other. We also returned on the night if the wedding. Each night, as the night wore on, we began to find that we were not receiving change from our orders. We had to be sure to give the correct amount so as not to be ripped off. The couple behind the bar went from being all smiles to nasty little comments in Italian whenever we did this. On the night of the wedding the groom gave the owner € 200 to run a small tab. He told some of us to order from the tab. When we tried to do so the owner denied receiving any money. When the groom insisted he had given the money the owner called the doorman, an Andre the giant lookalike but less classy, in from the door to deal with the“problem”. The groom refused to let a thieving little rat like the owner of this dive ruin his wedding day so we all left the premises, never to return.

Can you believe this place had the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight on at 4am. For 10 euro you got to see the fight and 2 Pints of beer. OK the fight sucked and I want to kick myself for getting up early to see it, but we had a great time. The guys in this place are top notch and go out of there way to make sure you’re having a good time. Multiple TV’s provide ample vantage points for viewing. Guinness in Europe tastes so much better and Chaplin’s is the place to drink it. This is the place to come and end your night when in Sorrento.

Chaplin’s felt like home away from home! My friend and I were traveling through Italy when we chose Sorrento as our stop for three nights. On our first night we found Chaplin’s. It was exactly what we were looking for. A bar to belly up to– these American girls were happy! Mario, Luigi and Giovanni, were so much fun! They really know how to make sure their customers are having a great time. We were there all three nights! It’s a wonderful place to meet people from all over the world– even met some great locals too. If you are in Sorrento please make a point to stop in. You will be pleased with their selection of beers, wines, and cocktail options. Sorrento is for sure on my list to revisit because of Chaplin’s! Happpppy Daaayz!

We wanted to find a place to watch american football in December. They had over 5TV’s and sky sports. The owner, Mariano, was so friendly and helped us find the game we wanted. He took time to talk with us for awhile to help with questions, suggestions, and making some jokes back and forth. We ordered the house wine and some cocktails. His limoncello shots were amazing. So were the few more after the first… We highly recommended this spot to hang out and have a happy day!

We stayed in Sorrento for the last 5 days of our italian trip. We first hit up a pub across the street for a beer and wasnt feeling the vibe. We hopped over to Caffrey’s and immediately felt welcomed. They are the cutest, sweetest people! Loved the atmosphere and love that was spread around. Good beers, drinks and service. If you are looking to get out of the italian scene for a little while, this is the pub to hit on the strip. You will find a lot of travelers there too.

Great Irish pub and the owner will go out of his way to get you literally whatever you dream of. He jumped on his moped and went to the store to get exactly what every one wanted at the bar. At night it turns into a really fun hang out. very fun and outgoing atmosphere and a great place to meet new people

So it’s not often one can swing out for a trip to Sorrento, Italy… However, if you happen to be in that area, be sure to swing into Chaplin’s Irish Bar. Sure, it’s loud… but you’re bound to have a good time, share a few drinks, meet some very kind business owners… and if you’re really lucky, meet some wonderful people like we did. We didn’t actually eat here… and I’m sure they must have some food options, but the 5 stars come from the reasonably priced drinks, the very friendly host Gino and the new friends we met while we were there. For 3 of my good friends and I, we just happened to run into this bar on the main strip of Sorrento’s shops and restaurants. The shining moment of the evening was meeting the best couple that Dublin, Ireland has to offer… whom happened to be sitting out front as we were passing by… and waved us down to share a drink. Before we knew what was happening, Gino had brought out more chairs to sit with them and newly poured cold beers were on the table. We shared backgrounds, stories, sang, shared some drinks and way too many laughs… Makes ya believe there may just yet be hope, with more people such as these, that this planet will be alright after all.
