Syrakus ist voll von Restaurants. Dieses wurde uns für Meeresfrüchte-​Gerichte empfohlen. Der traditionell-​rustikale Raum ist mit Tischen zugestellt, es sind viele Einheimische zum Abendessen hier. Der rote Tafelwein war ausnahmsweise mal ziemlich gut, der Service war in Ordnung. Wir waren mit dem Essen (insbesondere dem Fisch) sehr zufrieden. Preislich war es auch fair (Hauptgerichte um € 10). Sicher nicht das beste Restaurant in Syrakus, aber keine Touristenfalle.

We have a house in Ortigia and have been coming to this restaurant for more than ten years. It is a family business, with a stable crew. The food is inexpensive and good, but the real attraction of Do Scogghiu is the good service and very friendly atmosphere. If you want a top-​notch Sicilian meal, be prepared to pay twice as much elsewhere, but if you want to smile as you go out try Do Scogghiu.

Everything was great– quality, quantity and service. Food was cooked to order. Wine is good and cheap. The fact that it was highly patronized was a good sign. Buon appetito!
