Have you ever heard of the Vitovska grape? Neither have I. It seems to be one of the obscurist of the obscure. Like the wines of Radikon, Vodopivec makes a slightly cloudy, pink hue to it. Lots of fruits, peach, pear, apple, a bit earthy, some minerality. It’s a weird dichotomy of things that dont seem to belong together sometimes. Paired with the food of Chef Ricard Camarena, it is wonderful but also somewhat perplexing. Im not sure if Im totally sold as something to drink on it’s own. With the right pairings however, it does question my point of reference to what wine should be.
