When the bartender apologetically explained he could only make a sandwich because it was lunch time, he was somewhat underselling the offering. Fresh bread with cured ham and cheese made for a great respite after wandering up and down Santu Lussurgiu’s winding streets. I imagine the pizza would not have disappointed if we had visited later in the day.
