Das Essen ist okay und die Location gut… Es lohnt sich nach der Besteigung der Kuppel von Petersdom dort noch was zu essen…

For a Chinese fix in Rome, this family owned gem right by the Vatican was a pleasant surprise. The menu is in Chinese, Italian and English and the friendly staff speak English well. There are no pictures in the menu. Most dishes are a la carte individual servings and are nicely priced around € 5. We had shark fin soup which was amazing. Sadly the wonton soup had no meat in the wonton. The roast chicken was fresh and tasty. We also ordered the fried chicken, which came out as small chicken balls. The lemon chicken was the same as the fried chicken but with a lemon sauce consisting on what we thought was lemon juice and corn starch. Sweet and sour pork was excellent except the pork pieces were small. Overall the experience satisfied our Chinese cravings but don’t expect amazing authentic Chinese cuisine from Chinatown. Service is friendly and quick, the restaurant is clean including the washroom, and the food is good. Update — we went back on Christmas Day after the Pope blessed the world and the food and service was great despite being very busy. This changed my rating from 3 to 4 stars. My favourite dishes are: fried noodle with seafood on hot plate, roast chicken, shark fin soup and fried spare ribs on hot plate.
