This wood-lined pub a stone’s throw from the Colosseum is popular with locals for its cask ale and rotating guest beers, with frequent special events keeping curious punters coming back for more. I came here for a Unilocal event at the start of the year and I wasn’t disappointed — obviously the great company and fun evening helped but service was attentive and on that particular occasion they had some great guest ciders on tap. On a normal night, expect Irish stouts, British and Italian craft beer and even the odd artisan cider. It’s a cosy prospect on cool evenings while warm nights see drinkers spill out into the street. Bar snacks include sandwiches and burgers which I haven’t tried — looking forward to updating the review and maybe adding a fourth star when I next return!

Really enjoyed the company and the beers. Both nights, Andrea was our bartender. Solid dude. Tried my best university Italian with the staff and patrons, to be greeted with better attempts at English. Comfy place that I’d like to visit again. Ask for recommendations of Italian(especially Roman) craft beers, which might be on draught.

Horrible Service! We were the only two people at the bar and the two bartenders were more interested in playing on their phones than helping their only customers.
