Trambus Open Roma Linie 110

Playing tourist is pretty awesome, especially on a double decker team tour bus!
During my whirlwind 4 days in Rome in October 2014, I purchased a 2 day sightseeing pass on the 110 Open sightseeing bus tour for about € 36. It got cheaper for each day you purchase, providing you make the most of each day you are on the sightseeing bus. For me, the sightseeing bus, along with the Roma metro was my sources of transportation (along with walking). I thought there was much more to see in Rome than what the tour map had, but as it turns out, you would need more than a week to see and discover Rome. The 110 Open bus tour begins and ends at the Roma termini, with 10 major stops along the way. This list includes the Roman Colosseum /​Roman Forum, Trevi Fountain (which was under construction at the time of visit), St. and Peter’s Basilica /​Vatican City. One complete circle without getting off the bus for sightseeing and photos is approximately 90 minutes and it’s a totally a hop on, hop off experience.
I purchased my sightseeing pass at the kiosk outside the Roma Termini, in the parking lot where many buses are parked, arriving, and departing. Definitely a busy place to be! The ticket agent must have seen many people that day, but was professional when I proceeded to buy my way onto the sightseeing bus. 110 Bus sightseeing tours accepts major credit cards, so that’s always a plus! Like many sightseeing bus tours in many major metropolitan cities, this bus tour is a double decker team bus. It was pretty cool to ride on the top for way better views and better photo opportunities. Every time you got on the bus, you would need to present your ticket to the bus driver or ticket agent on board. Seeing the city of Rome through the eyes of a tourist was mesmerizing and quite magical, especially when the windchill makes the experience more exciting than ought to be. It’s definitely worth looking into! Cheaper than renting a car and fighting traffic.
Thanks 110 Sightseeing Bus tour for being my source of transportation and a means of seeing your magnificent city this way. Renting a car in a traffic congested city isn’t the way to go, apparently! Although there wasn’t air condition on the lower level, it would be best to ride the top level for ample photo taking and an obstructed view. It was a cloudy chilly week with bouts of warmth from the sun when I went. Only if it rained, I would just huddle down the first floor until it ended. It is a bus after all, so it was your typical type of seating. Not much comfort here, but it made for a nice tour around the city, I just wished there were more stops on this tour, more than the usual iconic Roma sights we tourists are used to hearing about. I guess that’s a specialized tour for another time and place. Still, it was a positive experience and highly recommended for your 1^st time in Rome.

I was on this bus for two full laps of its route yesterday and it is pretty terrible value as a tour. The operator has to push buttons to activate the tour. If you are texting or surfing the web as about half the operators were doing, it usually does not sync with what you are seeing. It was also sometimes tough to get the audio to work because the equipment is in poor condition. You would be better off on a cheaper bus with no guide. Spend the money you save on inexpensive guided tours of the sights — $ 5 euro and good!

We were excited to get the big picture of Rome from a hop-​on hop-​off bus. We unwisely bought a 48-​hour family pass on Trambus Open 110 and immediately regretted it. Our complaints:
1. About half of the audio jacks don’t work.
2. Audio quality (when you can find one working) is poor and out of sync with the sights.
3. Upper deck is not covered, so you roast under the Roman sun up there. We saw other buses that have shaded top decks — look for those.
4. Lower level is not air conditioned and windows only crack open. I was nauseated on that level by the stifling heat and the smell of bus exhaust. Check for AC on other options.
5. Not enough stops to make this useful as a means of transport around the city (unlike Berlin or London, where we had a terrific experience.)
Could not get off fast enough. What a disappointment and waste of money.
There are other hop-​on hop-​off buses that looked a lot better, with upper deck shade and apparently air conditioned. Don’t use Trambus Open 110.

Wir haben die Tour mit einer Truppe von 10 Leuten gemacht (Kanzleiausflug). Die Route ist gut gewählt und das Hop-​On Hop Off-​Prinzip ist eine gute Sache. Auch der Preis war in Ordnung, da wir als Gruppe vor Ort einen Rabatt aushandeln konnten. Die Sitze sind allerdings recht unbequem und nichts für größere Menschen. Auch die Technik mit den Kopfhörern funktionierte nicht an allen Plätzen. Vernünftige Sicht hat man nur auf der oberen Ebene des Doppeldeckers. Diese war aber machmal schon belegt.

Just back from Rome and the only thing about the whole trip that let us down was the service provided by Roma 110. We bought two 24 hour open tickets at 20 Euros each and took our seats. What quickly became clear is that we weren’t following anything like the route advertised. It turns out that this is because there was a road running race through Rome that morning and some roads were closed. When we asked for my money back we were told that we couldn’t have it and when we protested we were told we should have asked if everything was OK before we bought the tickets. They were even reluctant to let my wife and I off the bus. Amazing
The way in which we were treated was absolutely dreadful — I would absolutely recommend that you use one of the operators and hope that you get a better experience. Otherwise however Rome is a wonderful city and well worth a visit.

Bei dieser Busrundfahrt bin ich ein bisserl gespalten. Habe solche Touren schon in anderen Städten gemacht und die in Rom war die schlechteste:
1. Die Brüstung der Busse ist so hoch, dass man fast nichts sieht.
2. Die Erklräungen sind nur bruchstückhaft. Man fährt an vielen Dingen vorei, wo offen bleibt, was es ist.
3. An viele Sehenswürdigkeiten kommt man logischerweise nicht ran, da sie im Centro storico liegen.
4. Die deutschen Texte vielen öfters aus, so dass Sohnemann nichts verstand.
Insgesamt das einzige Geld, das uns in Rom gereut hat.

Schliese mich der Vorschreiberin an die tour hilft einen sehr gut hat mir auch sehr geholfen bevor ich angefangen hab Rom auf eigende Faust und mit eigenden Füssen zu durchstreifen.

rom-​neulingen sei diese stadtrundfahrt mit dem roten (städtischen) doppeldecker-​bus der linie 110 ans herz gelegt: perfekt um sich einen überblick über die innenstadt, die lage der wichtigsten sehenswürdigkeiten ect. zu verschaffen
die tour ist besondes am anfang des aufenthalts sehr sinnvoll. so kann man sich (mit dem stadtplan in der hand) gleich kreuzchen an die orte machen, wo man in den nächsten tagen wieder hin möchte — das erleichtert die orientierung! denn rom wurde ja bekanntlich nicht an einem tag erbaut und lässt sich auch touristisch kaum an dem selbigen abfackeln!
für 16 euro fahrtkosten bekommen auch rom-​kenner hier über kopfhörer (inklusive frisches paar für jeden gast, die man auch behalten darf z.B. für das bordprogramm beim rückflug) interessante infos und fakten in 5 sprachen geboten
der bus passiert alle touristischen knotenpunkte und hält auch jeweils dort an. die touren gehen im uhrzeigersinn (nur in eine fahrtrichtung) den ganzen tag im kreis herum. jederzeit aus und einsteigen mit dem gleichen ticket am selben tag und an allen haltestellen möglich! also hop-​on, hop-​off, oder einfach nur sitzenbleiben und geniessen! die gesamte rundfahrt dauert (ohne aussteigen), je nach verkehr und tageszeit, ca. 1,5 stunden.
klassischerweise beginnt man die fahrt an der statione termini (hauptbahnhof). dort beginnt auch akustisch die führung. man kann aber auch an jeder haltestelle beginnen. das tagesticket erhält man direkt beim busfahrer.
