Lovely Vietnamese restaurant on beautiful Via Giulia. Portions are VERY small which we didn’t realize until it was too late, so we didn’t really order enough, but everything was done perfectly and authentically. Excellent choice for people in Rome who would like to vary their cuisine and branch out from just Italian options.

Why did I go to a vietnamese restaurant in Italy? Because my friend who lives there was craving and so I said i’d try it out with her. I mean I guess i shouldnt be too surprised that it wasnt awesome but still it wasnt even close to being good. And why is it so expensive?! Anyways the portion here is really small and really not worth it but if you’re REALLY craving and desperate for Viet food while out in Rome I guess this will suffice.

* FOOD = very good. I like their combination starters(1st item), banh cuon starter, and cha gio starter. For entres, I like their fish with fish sauce, pork with sweet sauce, and their Thien Kim fried rice(com Chien Thien Kim). * SERVICE = excellent. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Aside from Vietnamese, they can speak english, Italian, and french! * ATMOSPHERE = good

We needed a break from pizza and pasta and found this place for Vietnamese food. We wanted phở or hu tieu or whatever. The décor is simple and nice. The 2 waiters were nice, service was great and the owner talked to the elders in our group. The phở and hu tieu is good but the portion was horrible. I live in the heart of Little Saigon in Orange County and you always get a big bowl of soup that’s good at a cheap price. But the bowl that was brought out was small, like for a bowl of rice for one and it was pricey. We had to order another bowl and I wasn’t full. My aunt had the fried fish with an extra bowl of rice, she said it was very good. We also ordered appetizers. The shrimp bread was different but okay. The spring roll was a disappointment. The bbq shrimp paste was okay. Everything came out small and we had to order 2 – 3 dishes of each item. The owner said she makes the portion due to the people there but I highly doubt it. The portions of pasta at the restaurants was a lot. If they gave a bigger portion than it be better. The food is decent. My cousin got the bill for 11 people and it was $ 300 something. That’s the most expensive Viet meal ever, especially when everything was appetizer size and we were still hungry. Paying $ 300 and walking out full is worth it but this wasn’t. Plus, we’re use to yummy Viet food and inexpensive. Yes, spoiled from having easy access to Viet food over here. But it’s good to know there was a Viet restaurant. So if you crave phở, hu tieu or viet food and you’re near here, it’s decent.
