Best meal we have had in Rome thus far. The service was great and the starter bread had an excellent kick to it. The place had a very quaint ambiance and was conveniently located right by the Marriott. Highly recommend this place! The Cacio e Pepe was well worth the long flight to Rome. Nice beer and wine selection, menu was overall full of variety even though I knew just what my heart was after.

What a surprise, I was in Rome for four days in total, turns out the best restaurant in Rome was just one block away from my hotel, amazing food! Get the Carbonara I have never tasted one this good in my life

This is a small neighborhood restaurant. And I assure you that their ingredients are fresh. Wonderful service and very reasonable pricing. I had the rigatoni alla gricia. It is a made with bits of cured pork jowl with Pecorino Romano. Just lovely execution as the pasta was fresh and perfectly cooked.

Excellent food for price and nearby the Marriott Courtyard if you are staying there. I had the pasta special of the day which was chicory in a peppery white sauce w cheese which was like spinach on steroids and the best caperse salad of the trip w excellent mozzarella. Our service was fine and the rest had traditional ragu sauce which all liked.

This is the toughest review I have written. The pasta was OUTSTANDING. The sausage and fried potatoes were wonderful as well. The service however left much to be desired. It was obviously a local place and the locals definitely got preferential service. My son’s meal can out first, followed 10 – 15 minutes later by my husband’s. About the time they were finish eating the waiter had just brought me out another plate of sausage and fried potatoes which was the first dish we got. I explained that we already were served that dish and cancelled my dinner order. I finished what my husband and son had left on their plates and the waiter brought me a complimentary sample of the dish I had ordered. Nice service recovery, I think if they had one more wait staff they would have been in much better shape. But again the dishes were wonderful … homemade penne alla’ arribbiata, buccittini with tomatoes, pork jowl and sheep’s cheese and fettuccine with tomatoes and basil. The sausage was homemade, grilled to perfection and served with fried potatoes which my son said were the best«french fries» he has ever had. Had it not been for the service this would have been a 4 – 5 star meal.

Low quality ingredients. We ordered pasta dishes, mixed meat plate, caprese, house wine. Worst meal in Rome. We were staying at the Courtyard Marriott only overnight and wanted something simple to walk to. Meat was scraps with gristle. Wine tasted like water with no alcohol in it. And f adults at for $ 65. My recommendation is to avoid. Also we we the only ones in restaurant from 6:00 to 7:40PM, except a single woman from the USA. Ick!

This place was great, they were very nice. They explained the dishes. And checked on me several times to make sure I was ok. The food… Was great, I had the Tonnarella cacio, pepe e cicoria(Tonnarella pasta with sheep cheese, pepper and Chicory). I also had the GrigLiata misTa di carne(Mixed Grill of Meat — Bacon — Sausage — Lamb). This is the best dish I’ve had during my time here in Rome, Italy. If you get to come to Rome, I will say this is a treat in the residential neighborhood.

A family run little restaurant just a short walk from the Marriott Courtyard. Looks a little dingy at first but once you’re seated by the nice waiters and served a deliciously toasted piece of bread, the atmosphere adds to the allure. The cacio e pepé sauce and house wine is a fabulous combination, and the tiramisu is a winner. Definitely worth a visit.

I had one of three best dinners in Italy. First, in Alghero, second in Florence and Third in this very simple casual little small restaurant. Pure Roman pasta! The owner made his pasta and the sauces were all good. cream sauce Ravioli is a popular dish amongst the four of us. The pomodoro sauce is very fresh and light. The Caprese is very good. worth the walk fro Courtyard Marriot. It was a fanatastic finish for 2013. Muacks XOXO!

We went here to go somewhere close to our Courtyard Marriott hotel & it was worth the 10 minute walk. Good food, friendly service & our two meals & bottle of water were just € 20 five-stars

Highly recommend as it gives an authentic fresh interpretation to Roman cooking. We were staying at Marriott on Monte Marriott and hotel staff recommended as place they would eat at. We were the only tourists. Understand that doctors and staff fro, nearby GemellinHospital Gnocchis were hand made fresh. I had grilled lamb we split salad then had desert coffee. Best part they did bill by hand on the table cloth 40 Euros including tip.
