Very disappointed with the food. My husband and I both got spaghetti thinking it would be a safe bet, but we were not impressed. I got the spaghetti with basil and the sauce was poor. My husband had spaghetti with bacon and didn’t like the flavor of his either. I also made the mistake of ordering crab cakes. I was hoping for a crab«patty» similar to one found at a seafood restaurant. Silly me… it was a small fried ball with a mini claw sticking out. I’m not sure if the inside was crab or not but I wasn’t going to eat the claw. Disappointed in all three dishes! Also we ordered the half liter of house wine, and they brought us a full bottle saying we would just pay for the amount we drank… what?! We returned the bottle.

My wife and I had a long, tiring day, and didn’t want to waste the evening to a crappy dinner eaten in our hotel room. So, a quick Unilocal search found this nearby with decent reviews for pizza(and we really wanted pizza for the night). A quick 5 minute walk from our hotel and we were there! I ordered the BIG beer, my wife the house wine, the antipasto plate, and a margherita pizza. The pizza was very good, and the antipasto plate was super tasty. I definitely recommend this for a quick, easy, GOOD dinner.

The pizza is excellent, thin crispy Rome style pizza cooked in a wood fire oven. You must go here and order the pizza!

We went here on the recommendation of a local friend, and weren’t disappointed. We were SO hungry and loved our bruschetta, house wine, pizza(sausage) and pasta(spaghetti with garlic, olive oil, and parsley). My only complaint is that they forgot to bring me my second course until after we has already been served our coffee(we did the fixed price lunch menu so the coffee came with our meals). But they did bring me the second course to go, which we ate later. It was basically fried fish and French fries — not my favorite part but still good and probably would have been better if I has eaten it right when it came out. The house wine was good — you pay based on how much you consume, so we were given a bottle and paid for the ½ liter that we drank. The waitresses were nice, and tried to get to everyone as much as they could despite the place being swamped with tourists.

We had a fun night, but we would not one here again. The servers were understaffed and must have walked by us 30 times without acknowledging us. Ravioli was bland as was the pappardelle. But, the pizza was thin-crispy-yummy goodness and the gnocchi itself was melt-in-your-mouth delish but the sauce on it tasted… canned. The fried appetizers were good because they were… well…fried. Salads were just okay.

My sister and I found this gem while vacationing in Rome over New Year’s. It’s located just a few blocks from the Pantheon. We were determined to find GOOD food amongst all the tourist trap eateries. I had the lasagna and my sister had the veal romana. So good. Their pizza seemed to be pretty popular. Beware, this place gets pretty packed at dinner time. Great food at a great price!

This is a great place nestled right near the Pantheon – the food is solid and the owner take care of you like you’ve been going to this place for years. I went with friends and had a massive antipasti combination of prosciutto, olives, mozzarella and grilled vegetables… then came the pasta! They were kind enough to let us order two types of pasta then split them between three people so we could get a nice portion of each. The carbonara was rich and just salty enough with crispy bacon and the orrechiette alla pugliese(ear shaped pasta with broccoli and sausage) was light and flavorful. We passed on dessert, but a plate of cookies showed up with our coffee. Try the grappa with strawberries – lovely! I recommend this place for tourists and locals alike – prices are fair and the service is very attentive.
