We were greeted at the entrance by a very sweet grandma. Somehow her presence was very comforting, as if were entering the dining room of someones private residence. The menu is lengthy, with many options… I had a plate of steak and potatoes(only $ 9 euros) and my wife ordered a bowl of homemade vegetable soup($ 4 euros) and a combination pizza($ 6 euros). We ended up sharing our plates family style, and«granny» was very helpful with her service(although she needed to bring a younger person –probably the granddaughter– so we could explain about«medio crudo/sangue» —as she did not understand the concept of Medium Rare.) Despite the language barrier, we had one of the most pleasant meals of our trip and it cost us only $ 22 euros(includes tax) for Lunch. My wife said«This is the best steak I have ever tasted at the price» and I fully agree. The meat tasted like it had just been sliced off a freshly slaughtered steer… The soup was outstanding, like something my Jewish buballa used to make! However, the pizza was probably more in the 3.5 star range. It was better than most pizza in the United States, but on the mediocre range for Italy. Its still worth the money and my wife loved it! Close to Termini station and both Metro lines and highly recommended.
