Portrait Suites

We really like this place. My old friend Antonello Venditti recommended this place… he said if it is good enough for Zuckerberg, than it would meet my standards.

As with my prior review from last year the Portrait Suites Roma is still my favorite hotel. It’s nothing short of perfection with incredible attention spent on even the smallest of details. I’ve traveled to many top hotels around the world and have yet to find one that compares. The staff, especially Francesca and Thomas makes you feel like family and at home in this small boutique style hotel. A year later the staff is still familiar faces. They are very helpful in suggesting ways for you to explore and appreciate Rome to the fullest. They helped us with restaurant reservations, transportation, tours and more. The décor in the hotel is outstanding and understandably so given the Ferragamo affiliation and being located in the same building. The location is perfect being near the Spanish Steps and all major shopping. Make sure you don’t miss this experience!

I’ve visited Rome before and traveled all over Europe and can confidently say this was an AMAZING place to stay. I traveled with family and stayed for 9 days — so we had two rooms, one on the 4^th floor with a large living room area and one on the 6^th floor that was only a basic room but still had the amazing amenities. The 6^th floor room was awesome because it had a private balcony. I don’t believe the other floors do — but they do have very large windows that open to the streets below.
We had breakfast every morning on the 7^th floor roof deck to start our day. The service was exceptional and the food was delicious. They helped us book tours when needed and made us reservations each night at really great restaurants based on what we wanted and the are we wanted to visit.
I can’t say enough about how awesome the staff and our experience at Portrait Suites in Rome were. The «front desk» is actually a lounge area which has someone on hand day and night. The doorman greets you promptly when you ring the bell to get in. Everyone was very helpful, kind and courteous. We want to go back and stay at the Portrait Suites in Florence now!
If you’re looking for a boutique hotel that will feel more like a home with amazing service, this is the place for you. We LOVED it!
