My wife and I wandered out of the rain into this restaurant near the Vatican walls on our first night in Rome in mid-March, 2015. The waiter was very insistent in recommending a pasta dish with bacon. My wife, thinking it must be pretty good, went with his recommendation and was very disappointed. The pasta tasted like it had been sitting around for hours and reheated. I ordered the spaghetti pomodoro which tasted fresher. We paid 32 Euros for 2 pastas, an insalata mista, and a bottle of water. We thought it was overpriced and not very good.

I believe this place at least should have 3 starts and a half. Employees were very friendly and even thought it’s close to the Vatican prices are not crazy. Portions for pasta are ok so if you get any most likely you’ll need to order a second plate to feel satisfied. We were 3 and had pasta, then pizza and roasted pork, 2 liters of house wine and coffee at the end we paid 68 euros. I think it was a very good price and quality of food was good.

Walked by here and stopped for a late lunch, simply because after walking for hours in that vatican museum, we needed to eat and it was on the way to the metro station. We didn’t go back to the kebab place down the street because we felt guilty if that was all we ate in Rome. Now there’s just regret. The 4 seasons pizza there was simply soggy and not good. Service is alright, pricing is the same tourist pricing(about 8EUR for a pizza), but the food was just not good.
