Pizzeria Formula 1

Wow! Loved this place :). The plain marguerita pizza was amazing– especially for just 5euros. The service was friendly and I loved the laid back atmosphere.
My favourite pizza place of the three I’ve tried in San Lorenzo!

The pizza was okay. The pizza is cheap and the beer is cheap – all that can be expected for a pizzeria that caters to the local college kids. This would have made a nice mid-​afternoon snack but not exactly what I’m looking for when I’m on vacation in Rome! Our waiter however was a sweet old Italian man who thought I understood more Italian than I actually do!

Cette adresse m’a été recommandée par mon hôte Airbnb. En arrivant sur place, nous avons vu le petit écusson «on nous aime sur Unilocal» (écrit en italien bien sûr). Et moi aussi je l’aime cette pizzeria !
Si la pizzeria se nomme «Formula 1» ce n’est pas pour rien: le propriétaire est fan de ce sport, et la déco est composée de photos de voitures de F1. Les tables sont très rapprochées les unes des autres donc préférez prendre à emporter si vous voyez que le restaurant est plein ou presque (à moins que cela né vous dérange pas de partager toutes vos conversations avec autrui).
Le service est «à l’italienne»: le serveur revient 2 minutes après vous avoir donné les cartes et attend à côté de vous que vous lui disiez votre commande (alors que vous n’avez pas encore eu le temps de parcourir toute la carte).
La nourriture est excellente et me fera revenir lors d’un futur voyage à Rome ! C’est ici que j’y ai mangé ma première «vraie» mozzarella, et c’est purement et simplement une tuerie. Notre antipasti comportait également de la charcuterie de bonne qualité.
Nos pizze étaient délicieuses et ils sont généreux pour les ingrédients. A la moitié de ma pizza tomate-​mozzarela je commençais à caler devant tant de fromage. Encore une fois des produits de bonne qualité.
Enfin nous avons partagé un dessert: une pannacota au chocolat qui était très bien réussie.
C’était délicieux. Et en plus, c’était pas cher ! Pour une entrée + 2 pizze +1 dessert (+ l’eau + les couverts… comme partout en Italie) on en a eu pour… 25 euros. VINGT-​CINQ euros. Vous né vous tromperez pas en venant ici: rien ici n’est touristique (ingrédients de qualité, prix et service comme dans le reste de l’Italie) alors que vous êtes dans une capitale qui l’est.

Well the pizza was very good, but unlike the reviews, the staff were not cool and friendly, the restaurant was too noisy and crowded and they brought us 2 of the pizzas different than what we had ordered, but it was too crowded to ask them to change it so we decided to eat them anyway!
The only beer that exists is nastro azzuro, and we didn’t try the wines so i have no idea!

I have some great memories from this restaurant. The pizza is a fantastic deal, and the staff is hilarious. You’ll find a lot of locals eating and mingling here.

So many people recommended me to go there, so I finally went. I was really really disappointed, the pizza is definitely not the best one in Rome, the house red will give you the worst headache and the fritti are not that amazing. It’s cheap but in this neighborhood you’ll find cheaper and better for sure !

Delicious, cheap and super think crust pizza! I had the veggie pizza and it was super yummy. This place is a located near the University and is always packed with locals. Thankfully not a tourist trap! The prices are very reasonable. My friend and I order bruschetta, wine, water, two pizzas and fried rice balls (forgot the exact name) and the bill was roughly 25 euros. Pretty cheap! The service was awesome. Super friendly and very helpful. The best dinner I had in Rome.

Né pas rechercher un beau décor et un service exceptionnel, il y a juste quelques tables style «bar». Mais les pizzas sont très, très bonnes, bon marché (prix au kilogramme) et le choix immense (y compris des pizzas froides). Miam !!
