Had an amazing lunch here. We started with the fried calamari and grilled vegetables. Both were extremely flavorful. We then ordered our pizzas. I got the diavolina which is their version of pepperoni pizza. It is a spicy salami with mozzarella and tomato sauce. The Peperoni pizza they have is actually sweet peppers so the waiter was very nice at letting me know. Super tasty and a nice doughy crust. We then has their cheesecake and the coffee and it was a great end to our meal. We had to wait a while since we went their during the lunch rush so be prepared if you are going to go during 12 – 2 pm.

Stuff in the area can be dangerously touristy, but Pizza Re has it all: 1. Italian local folk eating there? Yes 2. Amazing fresh hot and chewy pizza with thin crusts and quality ingredients? Check 3. Great atmosphere and service? yes 4. Fair pricing? Yes We had some of the best pizza ever at Pizza Re. Spicy salami was delicious, bro in law said his seafood pizza was the best he ever had(He lives in Europe so he’s had a lot) and I had a delicious ½ pizza ½ calzone(amazing once you see how they make it). Tiramisu was also on point. Delicious place, hit it up after a long day of walking and shopping nearby!

I couldn’t tell if this place was a tourist trap or not but the food was quite satisfying! My boyfriend and I were seeking a simple vegetable dish or two after already loading up on pasta earlier in the day. The service was kind of slow and they barely spoke English. We ended up ordering the eggplant parmesan and a plate of grilled vegetables. Both dishes were simple and satisfying and we left happy! From what we saw the pizzas looked delicious and by the time we left(around 8PM) there was a big line to be seated.

Napolitan style pizza. Pizzaiolo is from Naples. Dough and ingredients are exceptional.

Extrem feine Pizzas! Genau so stellt man sich die Pizzas in Italien vor. Dazu noch sehr leckere Desserts & freundliche Bedienung und das alles zu einem sehr guten Preis. Und das obwohl das Restaurant in einer Touristen-Zone liegt. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Not good. We asked for a salad caprese which was advertised with mozzarella di buffala. We had a horrible salad with frozen tomatoes and a chewy mozzarella. The chef insisted that it was mozzarella di buffala whereas it was obviously not. We are sure he served us the bad quality cheese used for the pizzas. Naturally, we did not have to pay for this salad. We then had pizzas which are Really average.

Pretty good pizza and the prices were not bad(a bit under 10 € for most pizzas if i remember correctly). You can eat outside in a small street which we really liked! Staff was also very polite :) suggested us a very good icecream place

There is plenty of bad food in Rome, like any big city. There are plenty of restaurants in Rome with horrible service and indifferent/hostile wait staff. It is less common to find both in the same spot, but we did. you do not need to! The pizza left a horrible aftertaste long after we departed, keeping the memory of our final Rome dining mistake alive longer than necessary. Lots of great food in Rome… you will need to find it elsewhere I am afraid

Average. Not too bad but not too great. Came here for a quick bite and it sufficed. But the food and restaurant didn’t leave a lasting impression. I wouldn’t recommend you come out of your way for the pizza here. But i also don’t think it’d be a major mistake for you to try it out. Overall not a bad experience.

Ordered seafood pasta and chef pizza. Seafood was obviously frozen, not fresh at all, pizza was. What can I say? undercooked which led to a saggy taste… even my high school cafeteria’s pizza was better than this… not recommended at all, service wasn’t friendly either… horrible place

Average food and service. It felt like we were just part of a big machine rather than in a special place serving out of this world pizza. Honestly, the pizza was simply average. Crust was similar to Costco pizza, which is not bad, just surprisingly similar to Costco. I don’t know how the reviews are so strong for this spot.

Every time I think of pizza, I think about how much I miss Pizza Re. This pizzeria has some of the best food in all of Italy, if you ask me. I went there when I met some Italian relatives for the first time, so they ordered basically every appetizer on the menu, plus a personal Margherita pizza for me. Not a single piece of food was disappointing — everything was delectable!

Had a late lunch here because we were hungry and wanted to get out of a rain storm. We had the house red wine and 2 pizzas. The pizza size was plenty big enough for 2 people to share but we ended up eating both because they were so good!

My husband and I hate tourist traps and were on the hunt for the best naples style pizza in Rome and stumbled upon Pizza Re. It was our last night in Rome and we rushed over late night to make it there before they closed. We arrived 5 minutes after closing and the owner/workers had already started to clean up. When they heard we were from out of town they graciously opened their doors for us and had a very welcoming attitude; we didn’t feel rushed at all even though they were staying after closing just for us. The eggplant on top of the pizza was divine and the crust was cooked to perfection. It was probably one of the best pizzas we had our entire Europe trip(maybe even ever).

Now where’s my pizza??? First night in Rome, and some yummy pizza is all i’m craving. I did a quick Unilocal search for something walking distance from the hotel, and I came across Pizza Re. The reviews were pretty high, and a lot of people seemed to have a good opinion of the place, so I thought why not? The restaurant is close to Via Corso and just about a block away. It’s in a really great location that’s away from the super touristy places making not a tourist trap(there are a lot of those Italy!) The restaurant is pretty big, and we were seated in the back of the restaurant as it was quite busy. The waiter was so kind to help us with reading the menu as my Italian knowledge is absolutely 0, but I could get a gauge of what certain pizzas were from having studied both French and Spanish. We opted for 2 pizzas: a white and a red as well as a seafood pasta(pictures attached). After this trip, I realized that I enjoy white(blancha) pizzas very much! I believe the one we ordered had mozarella, rocket, and mushroom. Although it was quite simple, the flavors were quite bold and very flavorful. The seafood pasta is definitely very good too! They have fresh lobster and the noodles are cooked just right. We also ordered a bottle of wine because it was 12 Euros as opposed to 5 euros a glass(again, ordering alcohol by the bottle is always cheaper). The meal wouldn’t be complete without finishing off with something sweet and so I got a tiramisu. To be honest, I wasn’t blown away by it at all — it was soft and yummy but i’ve had better(in the US). Maybe I’ve been eating it wrong but I went to another place in Rome(Pompi) and that knocked my socks off — so good!

I first came here about 15 years ago, when a friend of mine from Naples(that lived in Rome) took me here for pizza. I had always loved Neapolitan Pizza, and he promised this place would not disappoint. HEWASRIGHT. Forget most everything on the menu, except the namesake«Pizza Re’». It is absolutely fantastic! Full of flavor, buffalo mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, and a crust that just balances all of the flavors to perfection. THIS is my favorite pizza in Rome(so far). I feel an overwhelming need to comment about one negative review I read here before I sign this one off. Someone made a comment about the bread being stale without butter, oil, or anything else. If you read that, let me add that if you eat ANYWHERE in Rome that offers soft bread, offers butter and other«bread toppings», you are eating at a place that is unauthentic, and catering STRICTLY to the tourists. Bread in this part of Italy does not have salt, and is a bit hard, so someone might think it stale even though it is baked fresh that day. Italians do not butter their bread, and the only way you get flavored toppings on bread is when you order bruschetta. Bread is served plain, as is. Not at this place, but at ANY place that also caters to locals. That is a fact of authentic Italian food. That review caused me to wonder when they mentioned that the pizza wasn’t good, if maybe their idea of a proper pizza is a Dominos Meat Lover’s Pizza. This place is fantastic, and I recommend it to anyone in Rome looking for a great Pizza Napoletana!

We came here because the reviews seemed positive. I don’t understand why. The 4 cheese pizza I got was kind of bland, and the crust and the calzone my girlfriend ordered was actually deep-fried and it tasted disgusting. The basket of bread we ordered to start with was just that — a basket of bread. Stale bread, without butter or oil or anything to make it tasty. Halfway through our lousy pizzas they actually turned on a tv which was hanging above is. The volume was loud and the Italian game show that was playing captured the full attention of the staff, even when serving us. Totally NOT recommended.

A very good end to a wonderful family vacation. We sat and ordered for Saturday dinner. It is best you go in around 1830 – 1900 before the dinner crowd fills up. The scaloppine Di pollo al limone was deliciously seasoned. Ordered a few pizzas. Pescatora,(my favorite, seafood) Romana(pretty standard cheese pizza) Re house pizza,(delicious but wasn’t quite as outstanding as pescatora) rucola(simple rocket leaves and parma ham). Overall, great value, very fresh ingredients, worth a try if you’re in the area.

This is it! This is the pizza that I dream about. This is the best pizza I have ever had, every time I go to Italy(and that is a lot) I come here, I have to make time to come here. I always always always get the traditional Pizza Re, which is a naples style pizza with buffalo mozzarella and cherry tomatoes. its the perfect pizza. If you are in Rome you have to go here. I promise you will not be dissapointed!
