Great place!!! very close to the Trevi fountain and NOT an overpriced touristy joint. Quality food, wine and friendly service.

We came here after reading the Unilocal reviews. Food was actually pretty good, but there were some disappointments including my calzone literally had raw sausage pieces inside which I didn’t notice until after a few bites because it was dark and I was talking to my kids. Graciously they rerolled and cooked it again but it was too late. Don’t order the bruschetta, not kidding when I say it was 4 euros for one slice of bread(and they brought us a second order by mistake) with olive oil on top. Kids enjoyed it, wallet didn’t. The filet was nice — a little tough but a generous cut of meat with good flavor.

Friendly wait staff, great food, in the middle of everything; what is not to like! Minutes from the Trevi fountain. We had filet, calzone, tomatoes capresi. All was outstanding! Great job Luca!

This place was by far the best restaurant we went to during the 3 nights we were in Rome. We had the marguerite pizza which was a thin wood fired pizza that came super quick. The garlic & oil toasted bread was amazing! The rigatoni carbonara was al dente perfectly and the bacon was crisp. The super salad was very tasty even if the dressing was just olive oil. They don’t charge a service or table fee like most restaurants in Rome. They accepted our credit card just fine! The service was there when we needed it and the wait staff was very pleasant! I would definitely recommend this place if you’re in the Trevi fountain area! Restaurant was a little small but we went when they opened at 6pm and were seated just fine. We stopped by around 3pm and asked for a reservation for 6 at 6pm. The guy at the door confirmed but didn’t ask us for a name(maybe that’s just in the US?). But when we returned at 6, they had a table set up for 6!

Great food. Small place but Italians and tourists eating here. Decent little wine list too. No credit cards accepted, despite what sign in front showed(cards accepted). That was annoying and it appeared earlier in night they did accept cards. Oh well, cash and carry…

Thanks to Unilocal we found this place just steps from the Fontana de Trevi. Amazing little place and the service is just incredible. We ordered the Margheretta Pizza and the Rigatoni. I also got a Peroni. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Again, the service and the quality of food. Amazing!

Restaurant has good food and great service. I highly recommend this place! Luca, our waiter, gave us great service. We ordered the Italian style artichoke which was delicious. I got the penne which was also amazing, and a large portion so I was unable to finish it. My boy friend got the spaghetti which he loved and did finish! It was one of my favorite places I ate at during my trip to Rome.

After sightseeing we popped into this place and got a table right away. The staff was super friendly and attentive. The mahgerita was amazing. The best I’ve ever had! My partner had the pasta and raved about it. Check it out. You won’t be disappointed.

Unilocalers… You’re kidding me! This place is average at best. You can walk into a thousand little dives like Piccolo Buco all over Italy. The food is average. The service is friendly. The atmosphere is cramped.
I’ll comment on their lasagna. It was good, but my wife’s lasagna is better. All else was OK. By the way, my wife tells me the bathroom was dirty(no toilet seat) and the door handle was the toilet paper holder. My biggest complaint is so many Unilocalers consider this place worthy of 4 and even 5 stars. It’s just a pizzeria, and ‘dat’s ‘dat.

We came here for lunch today and had a cozy little table outside… the bruschetta was amazing… the service is great. We had Luca who was attentive, professional and took care of us. We got the menu option one… which comes with bruschetta… a salad… and a pizza with a glass of wine or a beer for 16 €.it was a great deal. Would definitely recommend this place. The wine was very good.

Bruschetta, Pizza und Pasta hervorragend! Sehr freundliche Bedienung. Vielleicht etwas teuer(Tourizone am Trevibrunnen halt) aber seinen Preis wert.

The house red wine was great. Also we ordered two pizzas and they were tasty. There were a lot of trip adviser certificates every where on the wall. However Still I think it could be better. I liked the pizza but it will not be my choice next time.

Ordered truffle brushetta and artichoke brushetta. .awesome. Truffle pasta and basil pasta were fantastic. They still make pizzas in 99 year old oven! Not a big fan of house white wine… order from the menu. Ask for Luca to take your orders… his service is exemplary. Overall, excellent experience.

Piccolo Buco serves excellent pizza, made in a wood-burning oven. The crusts are crisp and thin and the toppings range from standard to extraordinary. I had a gorgonzola pizza with fresh radicchio on top, a fabulous taste combination. Their salads are also very good and provide the necessary green stuff for your diet. Some of the staff speaks English and they were very accommodating, giving us a choice of tables when we entered and then moving us to an even better table a few minutes later. But we were fortunate, as a line soon formed outside the door. Make a reservation, if you can.

Came here based on Unilocal recommendations and I was glad I did. We ordered the truffle pasta, pesto pasta, mushrooms pasta, bresola pizza, salmon calzone, a bresola appetizer and truffle and artichoke bruschetta. The best dish was the truffle pasta. It was so good! I have to go back and have it again. The truffle and artichoke bruschetta was good too. The pizza was good and the calzone was filled with cheese delicious! The handmade pasta was really good. The prices are good for the value of food. It can get busy but it’s worth the wait.

Amazing!!! Only place in Rome I found with great pizza and fettuccini. After several days of subpar«Italian» food this place really did come through for me. It’s small and space is limited but totally worth the wait.

Been here countless times, today even twice. So I thought it is finally time to recommend them officially. I recommended already friends and family here, from Asia, from Europe and from the US. Everyone simply loves this place. The food is simply great, reasonably priced and luca is the best warm-hearted waiter ever. Very good pizza and amazing pasta.

Recommended to us by friends, who once they found Il Piccolo ate their every day while in Rome! We are so happy we stopped their as well. Luca and his Mom are great hosts. The Risotto was scrumpcious! The pizza’s looked amazing — if only we had more room in our stomachs. Definitely going there the next time we’re in Roma and I’ll send everyone I know there too.

I was traveling on business and I was with a local Italian who took us to see the fountain which is very close. It was late and we were hungry and didn’t have much time to find a place to eat. He said to only eat pizza that cooks with a wood fire. That’s the Italian way. So we found this place. The pizza was very good. Lots of cheese and a thin crispy crust. We sat outside and watched all the people go by. WARNING: They don’t take credit cards and there is no sign that says this. They didn’t even warn use when we sat down. That really ticked us off since we were on business and needed to use our corporate cards.
