First off — yes this place is quite expensive. It should be reserved for a special occasion or treat. We went there for just that — booked a reservation and made a note about it being our wedding anniversary. They gave us a cute little corner table near the live singer and had champagne waiting for us. We tried an appetizer of the sardines with zuccini flower and then headed towards the fresh fish to pick our dinner. I already knew that we wanted the salt baked bass experience that others had talked about. Before I knew it, my husband said heck with it and also ordered the very rare blue lobster. The guy let us have fun with it — taking pictures next to the lobster, etc(it really IS blue!). The served the lobster ready to eat with a shell presentation. Fresh veggies added in. They made sure to come over and serve us when we ran low, instead of us having to do it. Absolutely amazing. It’s not sweet like a Maine lobster, more hearty/umami type. Then out came the baked bass tableside. He opened it up, flaked it right there perfectly and served us. It was such a unique and cool presentation. The late night singer was great, they then wished us a happy anniversary, encouraged us to dance and get serenaded. They brought out a happy anniversary dessert and took photos of us — along with more complimentary wine. Did the bill get expensive? Heck ya(over $ 300) but it was an amazing memory and experience.
