Long overdue review. This is a charming restaurant run by three generations of a wonderfully gracious family. We stayed last summer at an apartment across the street for a few days and this place was so good we came back every night. Everyone went out of their way to make us feel at home, carefully explaining as best they could what the dishes were. The daughters who took our orders were SO nice — the dad brought out a leg of cured special ham to show me what it was and gave me the label so I could look for it back here in the US. The family took a picture with us on our last night. I have forgotten the specific dishes(sorry) but all were wonderful. We look forward to returning some day.

This is a real family run, Roman trattoria. They serve traditional dishes with pride. Mom cooks everything including homemade pasta, though dad helps in the kitchen too. Two sisters serve. We enjoyed the pasta cacio e pepe, generous portions but not heavy. The secondi or meat plates are also very home style. Presentation is nothing special but it’s like having a really good Italian mamma cook for you. I got talking to the family after loving the tozzetti, apparently the local cookie similar to but better than biscotti from Prato. I got the recipe!
