NH Villa Carpegna

Pensar en mi hotel de Roma es recordar dos cosas: cama y desayuno.
El Hotel:
El NH Villa Carpegna está ubicado en una zona residencial al oeste de Roma. La mayoría de los mapas turísticos no incluyen esta área, pero realmente, el hotel está a solo 2 km del Vaticano y bien comunicado con autobuses.
La ventaja es que conoces una parte de la Roma de la vida real, hay muchos comercios, supermercados y extensas áreas verdes; y sobre todo, que estás en un hotel 5 estrellas ¡por el precio de lo que costaría uno regular en el centro!
Quizá, llegar a él desde el aeropuerto sí sea bastante engorroso, pero prometo que merece la pena pagar los 42 € que vale el taxi desde Fiumicino (es una tarifa única, creo que implementada por el Ayuntamiento de Roma).
La habitación:
¡Vaya cama! Recomiendo salir corriendo desde la puerta y lanzarse de panza. La habitación matrimonial tiene una cama del tamaño de un campo de fútbol, mullidita y deliciosa con dos tipos de almohada.
Me llamó muchísimo la atención lo limpia que estaba todo. Necesitaba salir y por alguna razón no lograba descifrar el funcionamiento de la caja fuerte. Quise esconder mis cosas en algún lugar que supiera que no fueran a limpiar, ¡pero todo estaba pulcro!
Tip para alérgicos como yo: se puede pedir la habitación con parquet en vez de moqueta, (vale también para maniáticos de la limpieza).
El desayuno:
Quesos y embutidos de la provincia, yogur natural con todo tipo de toppings, frutas, panes y panecillos, varias máquinas de café increíbles; y lo mejor, una AMPLIA selección de productos sin gluten y sin lactosa.
La experiencia: inolvidable.

So I would give NH Villa Carpegna (NH Hotels) 4 out of 5 stars. I thought the staff was extremely helpful. They made reservations for us at local restaurants in town, called a cab when ever needed, and even helped us out when one of us got sick in the middle of the night and needed a 24 hour Pharmacy. They called around the city of rome to find us one, then called us a cab, got us the address for the cab driver. Just super helpful. The hotel is a little outside of the city center, but they were great at explaining the bus routes, where to get on and off, they even have local bus maps with what bus to take where. There is a Bus stop maybe 3 – 5 minutes walk. They also give you a local «home made» map if you will with all the local restaurants, grocery stores, pizza joints, where to get bus tickets, even the local tobacco shop, all within walking distance of the hotel.
The hotel itself was nice, clean rooms, GREAT BREAKFAST BUFFET. Pretty good burger and dinner options.
They have a pool, nice little Bar area and outdoor seating. Free wi-​fi everywhere and it works great.
The only reason for the 4 and not the 5 is location. The part of town doesnt feel the safest, especially at night. And it is kind of a trip to get to from Romes Airport or train stations. We ended up taking a cab from the closet metro that gets you to the hotel because we were kind of lost. The Metro exit is Valle Aurelia, from there is it a € 11.00 cab ride, or you can take bus 33. We didnt know bus 33 at the time so we did the cab.
It is about a 10 – 15 minute bus trip on bus 916 from the bus stop by NH Hotel to Piazza Venezia where it ends. From there you can walk almost anywhere in rome to see everything. (916 also stops by Vaticant City) I would stay there again, however only if I rented a car and wanted to explore more the countryside. If its your first time in Rome, something closer to the center of town might be easier
Overall, Great Hotel

Auf unserer Städtereise in Rom waren wir in dem NH Hotel Villa Carpegna untergebracht und können das Hotel nur empfehlen.
Das Hotel sowie die Zimmer sind sehr sauber, das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und es besteht eine gute Verbindung mit den Bussen des öffentlichen Personennahverkehr in die Stadtmitte nach Rom.
Das Frühstücksbuffet ist sehr umfangreich (von frischen Obst über warme und kalte Speisen und leckere Nachtische) und es wird ständig aufgefüllt vom Hotelpersonal sobald Speisen ausgehen.
Abends kann man in der Hotelbar noch schön bei einem Drink entspannen.
Da etwas außerhalb, ist es auch eher ruhiger gelegen.
Auf jeden Fall zum empfehlen für eine Städtereise.
